Recently discovered Comet Lemmon (C/2025 A6) will pass about 55 million miles away in the next week. (Edited from earlier verisons) You have the chance to see the brightest comet in the night sky this year. Wait about 90 minutes after sunset and look under the handle of the big dipper.

With a new moon the darkest night sky will be Tuesday October 21st. This also lines up PERFECT for the comet to pass closest to earth. It MIGHT be possible to see the naked eye but a strong pair of binoculars or telescope will help big time. This comet was just discovered THIS January and now we get to watch it pass. Incredible!

Mid 2026 large vehicles will no longer be permitted to travel thru the famous & historic tunnel in Zion NP, that connects the East entrance/exit from the main park and the main entrance/exit in Springdale.
The bypass/alternate route is nearly a 2 hr detour, so plan ahead.
