Obsessed with .photo’s sneak peek’s from Erin and Joe’s gorgeous wedding at this past week. The rain and wind cleared just in time for us to have a beautiful ceremony under the tree with freestanding designs that we could bring in to enhance the stunning reception (more on that later!). A little story time…

This wedding was especially special for us- Erin’s mom, who will forever only be known as Mrs. O to us, was our daughter August’s reading teacher during and post-Covid. August was of critical age for learning how to read during lockdown and really struggled with remote learning and fell very behind. We fully credit Mrs. O with our daughter being able to read. She worked with her consistently - even when at times we felt helpless and ready to pull her out of the dual language program she was in (something especially important to me). But Mrs. O believed in her and knew she would catch up. She never made her feel “othered” at school when August would have to leave class for extra help- she only ever met her with respect, kindness, and understanding.

So needless to say, when Erin called and mentioned who her mom is- we knew we would go above and beyond to give her a special day. And special it was- you should have seen our studio that week- over ordering was an understatement, with a huge variety of premium flowers sourced from the best local farms (special shout outs to and for working some extra magic for us). The vision not yet realized until everything was in front of us, and it had to feel perfect. We had to find a way to express our gratitude to this family for everything they did for ours. We can only hope we succeeded 🤍

HIRING!

We’re seeking a part time associate floral designer to join our team. Ideal candidate has 1-3 years working with flowers and a strong interest in art and design. Must be available to work at least 3 days per week, including Fridays and Saturdays when events are scheduled.

Responsibilities include:

- Assisting with special event and wedding designs
- Retail order designs
- Cleaning and processing in new florals
- Event set up and staffing

What you’ll be joining:
- A small but growing team that moves fast, hustles and has a lot of fun while we work
- A strong commitment to supporting local flower farmers and sustainable design principles
- An environment that encourages and fosters creativity, individuality, and artistry
- A learning and collaborative environment without egos, drama, or bad attitudes
- The occasional dance party break, lots of playlist debates (that tends to end in the 90s), tons of creative brainstorming, and a family-like environment.

A look back at one of our favorite June weddings:
SarahRose and Jack’s intimate backyard wedding was filled with sentimental details and thrifted finds, making it truly unique to them. Their tent was decorated with a veeerrryyy long narrow U-shaped table, decorated entirely by a marathon of bud vases and candles.

Our challenge for the day? Although hot and sunny outside, it was also windy, which created a wind tunnel inside the tent. Every time we turned our backs, a new vase or candle fell- sometimes shattering completely. Thankfully we always bring extra vases and flowers to every event but at times it seemed like we were no match for these winds- we even tried using The Force! 🙌🏼 . Finally, we were able to secure our vessels with floral tack- a lesson we learned to always keep on hand for all outdoor weddings, especially when there (thankfully!) isn’t a linen on the table.

Thank you to for capturing so beautifully- you never would have known how much we were sweatin’!! 😅😅
