You know the one. The first few seconds come on and suddenly everyone is looking at each other like, “this is OUR song.”

That’s when the dance floor stops feeling like part of the reception and starts feeling like your favorite night out with all your favorite people in one room. The singing gets louder, the phones come out, and nobody is worried about what they look like anymore.

Those are the moments we love most. Good music, good timing, and a crowd that’s fully in it. 🤍

Some weddings make a statement before the celebration even begins. Jackie and Kevin's wedding at Addison Park was one of them.

Black tie. An all-black dress code for their guests. Timeless white florals, candlelight, dramatic details, and a vision that was thoughtfully carried through every part of the day. From the grand staircase and flowing veil to the beautifully designed reception space, everything felt effortlessly elegant.

But here's what we loved most about Jackie and Kevin. For a couple who knew exactly what they wanted, they were also two of the kindest, most gracious people you could hope to work with. They approached every little challenge with patience, treated their vendors with genuine appreciation, and never lost sight of what the day was really about.

And once the formalities were over? The party was ON.

Their five-hour reception was filled with incredible energy, a dance floor packed with people having the time of their lives, and even an outfit change that brought a little Gatsby-inspired glamour to the celebration.
If you're planning your own wedding, let this be your reminder that you don't have to choose between an elegant, beautifully designed celebration and a night that's ridiculously fun. You can have both.

Sometimes rescheduling is the best decision you can make. Christa and Mike’s engagement session was originally planned for the week a nor’easter decided to make its way through New Jersey. Instead of forcing a session in less-than-ideal conditions, we moved the date.

And we are SO glad we did.

They ended up with the kind of October evening at the Jersey Shore you couldn’t have planned better. Warm weather, a slight cool breeze, no humidity, and just enough sun peeking through the clouds as we explored the conservation areas and beach in Manasquan. We even had a little fox make an appearance along the way.

But the last 30 minutes were something special.

We made our way out to the jetty at the Manasquan Inlet, and the sky absolutely showed off. One of those sunsets that kept getting better by the minute, with Christa and Mike laughing and soaking up every last bit of it.

And that’s exactly how we want your engagement session to feel.

You don’t need to stress over the weather, figure out the perfect location, or worry about what happens if Mother Nature doesn’t cooperate. One of our favorite things about ceremony photos is getting to capture everything happening around the couple too. 🤍

For Olivia and David, that meant the proud walk down the aisle, the looks between them during the vows, their wedding party watching from behind, and the reactions from family and friends as they finally became husband and wife.

It’s such a short part of the wedding day, but it holds so much.

And one place you might not immediately think to look is your cocktail hour. Cocktail hour doesn’t have to be simply the space between your ceremony and reception where everyone grabs a drink, eats some food, and waits for the ballroom doors to open.

It can be an experience of its own.
