This weekend I took a little MOXIE TRIP to beautiful San Diego, California, for the Destination Mah Jongg Tournament—so much fun! ☀️🀄

Between the sunshine, the ocean views, and the occasional battle over a "Joker", I mean Mr. Mahjong Keeler, it was the perfect combination of competition, connection, and community.

One of the highlights was Oliphant introducing me to Alix and Trent Bryant from the American Mah Jongg Association. We had some awesome conversations opportunities to collaborate in ways that help grow and strengthen this incredible community.

The American Mah Jongg Association is dedicated to connecting players, instructors, clubs, tournaments, and educational resources across the country.

For just $25 per year, members receive access to **four different Mah Jongg practice games**, educational content, strategy resources, articles, and a robust event calendar that helps players find tournaments and activities across the country.

PRACTICE! Their **TheWinningHand** practice app is helping players sharpen their skills and gain confidence at the table. The app includes hand-building exercises and other training tools that help players improve between games. More than 7,000 players are already using it!! That's a LOT of MOXIE!

You can test your knowledge of the card, practice building winning hands, and even sharpen your Charleston strategy. 🀄

PLAY!!!! And they're not stopping there! A brand-new full Mah Jongg game app is currently in development, creating even more ways for players to learn, practice, and enjoy the game wherever they are.

Moxie Backs a World Record in the Making

Big things are happening in the Mah Jongg world… and we’re all in 🎉

Mahjong Meets Moxie is proud to be a major sponsor of something seriously bold—a Guinness World Record attempt for the longest continuous mah jongg marathon 🀄💪

At last… clarity—drawn from sources most reliable and beyond reproach.

After much speculation, spirited discussion, and no shortage of dramatic conjecture, Lady Silver Sparrow can now confirm what many suspected, yet none could definitively declare:

Those entrusted with the keeping of the coveted NMJL card played no role in the release of the hands—nor were these revelations orchestrated as some clever scheme to stir the court or ignite conversation.

What has unfolded was not a grand unveiling, nor a sanctioned prelude to the season—but rather, an untimely appearance of what was meant to remain, for a little while longer, unseen. And while such matters do raise brows across the court, one can only hope the revealer acted with the very best of intentions. What began as a mere whim has, it seems, taken on a life of its own. With thousands now listening so intently, it is only fitting that Lady Silver Sparrow evolves accordingly.

You may now know her as Lady Whistling Sparrow—for she shall continue to whistle of all that unfolds within our most watchful mahjong society, while maintaining the confidences of her friends and informers.

A most curious development has emerged…

What was once mere speculation now finds itself supported by something far more compelling—proof of life. Reports of the coveted card arriving have surfaced not in whispers alone, but in tangible form.

Upstate New York has entered the chat… and rather ahead of schedule, one might add.

Seasoned players raise a knowing brow. “Too early,” they insist. “Unheard of.” And yet, the evidence suggests otherwise.

Is this the beginning of a broader release… or a carefully scattered handful meant to stir the pot just enough?

And what of the tracker—that ever-elusive instrument of confirmation? Silent, for now. Watching, perhaps. Waiting.

One cannot help but ask…

Are we witnessing a break from tradition?

Or simply a more sophisticated performance of it?

Speculation abounds that a fortunate few in Florida have already received the most coveted of cards—delivered, no less, by post. Others, in far quieter tones, claim to have obtained it… confidentially and unofficially. How scandalous.

The source of such intrigue? Why, none other than those rumored to be the NMJL’s own ladies-in-waiting… or perhaps—dare we say—their most devoted adversaries. In matters of gossip, the line between ally and enemy is often… negotiable.

Seasoned veterans insist this spectacle is unprecedented. That the “tracker,” that most sacred instrument of confirmation, has never revealed itself before cards begin their quiet arrival.

And yet… others claim this ritual unfolds year after year, as predictable as the turning of the social season.

One cannot help but wonder… is this all merely coincidence?

Or is this a scene written by the NMJL kings themselves—carefully orchestrated, perfectly timed, and executed with just enough mystery to keep us all watching?

But alas, dear reader—NMJL remains as enigmatic as ever. Guarded. Calculated. Entirely their own.

And so we are left with the only certainty that ever truly exists in such matters…
