Happy Pride Month, y’all! 🌈 💜

Pride feels like a good time to say this out loud:

LGBTQ+ couples deserve wedding vendors who ensure their love is fully seen, respected, and celebrated. They deserve spaces where belonging is never something they have to question, because the space was created with them in mind from the start.

Nobody should have to wonder whether their officiant is going to judge them for who they love, whether they'll be misgendered during their ceremony, or whether they'll have to spend the planning process explaining why their relationship deserves the same respect as anyone else's.

At Knot So Traditional, everyone is welcome. Full stop.

I've had the honor of marrying incredible LGBTQ+ couples, and one of my favorite parts of this work is helping people create ceremonies that actually reflect who they are instead of who tradition says they're supposed to be.

Jennifer Godell and Dave chose to celebrate their love surrounded by the people who matter most, and it couldn't have been a more beautiful day.

Nestled in the Butterfly Garden at the Baytown Nature Center, they exchanged vows in front of their closest friends and family during a ceremony filled with so much love, laughter, and joy. The setting was beautiful, complete with a front row view of the San Jacinto Monument, but it was the connection between these two and the warmth of everyone gathered around them that made the day truly special.

Jennifer and Dave, thank you for trusting me to be part of such an incredible moment. And thank you for letting me throw an impromptu Princess Bride quote into your vows.

Congratulations to Miriam & Greg! 🎉

Most couples want a wedding day that centers their love for one another. Miriam and Greg decided to switch it up.

While their ceremony definitely reflected their unique love story, it also centered the love they have for all of the amazing people in their lives; expressed with gratitude and shoutouts written into their vows. The love they have for everyone in their lives was the theme of the entire day.

Their ceremony at the beautiful was full of warmth, laughter, happy tears, and included one of the sweetest blended families I've ever had the privilege of meeting. The love between these two is so genuine and so obvious that it easily spilled over onto everyone around them.

A huge shoutout to Nikki with and , the aptly named Dream Team. They kept everything running smoothly and brought such great energy to the day. Honestly, I have never seen a more well coordinated ceremony.

Some weddings take months to plan. Hannah & Jon planned theirs in less than a week thanks to a forecast that had everyone gasing up their generators. 🌩

But in true Houston fashion, the forecast changed and the weather turned out absolutely perfect! 🌈

From the gorgeous, intimate setting at The Oak Atelier in Conroe to the hand fasting ritual woven into their ceremony, every part of the day felt intentional, warm, and deeply personal. It was the kind of wedding that reminds you it’s not about how long you had to plan; it’s about the people standing at the center of it all.

Hannah & Jon are the kind of couple who make this work feel easy: kind, grounded, and so clearly in love. I’m so grateful I got to play such an important role on such an important day! 💜
