Today marks the FIFA World Cup Final, and we’re incredibly grateful that Houston had the honor of serving as one of the host cities for this historic tournament! ⚽️
Though our journeys began in different corners of the world, we have all made Houston our home. That is what makes this city so special. We come from different backgrounds, speak different languages, and carry different traditions, yet together we have built one of the most diverse and welcoming communities in the world.
At South Seas Productions, it is our privilege to preserve, share, and celebrate the cultures of Polynesia with our community. Through performances, education, and cultural events, we hope to honor the traditions of those who came before us while creating meaningful connections with people from every background.
We’re also honored to be a cultural partner of POST Houston, a place that reflects the very spirit of our city. Through art, music, food, and cultural programming, POST creates opportunities for communities from around the world to come together, learn from one another, and celebrate what makes each culture unique.
If you’ve been wanting to experience Polynesian dance, we’d love to welcome you to our final Tahitian Tuesday dance class of the year at POST Houston on Tuesday, August 11, at 7:00 PM. Whether it’s your first class or you’ve danced with us before, we invite you to come experience the joy, culture, and community that make Tahitian Tuesday so special.
As the final whistle blows on this year’s FIFA World Cup, we’re reminded that while the tournament crowns one champion, its greatest legacy is bringing people together across cultures and borders. That’s something we strive to do every day through the arts.
Thank you, Houston, for embracing the many cultures that call this city home. We are proud to share Polynesian culture with you and grateful to be part of such an incredible and diverse community.
Mahalo, Houston. 🌎
