I love photography because it is an art form than seeks out and communicates the beauty inside of each and every human being.
Today, it is more important and ever to understand, search for, and seek out that beauty. Today if we can stand together and demonstrate such a crazy form of compassion, a compassion that is sorely needed to heal the hearts of all those that are hurt and scared, then today we will have impacted our future like never before.

I love blending natural light with studio strobes. It’s allows me to create texture and depth that is otherwise lost in most ambient light photography.

LOST HEIRLOOM ALBUMS OR WALL PORTRAITS IN THE FLOOD?
HURRICANE HARVEY has completely devastated our little corner of Texas.
We are trying to pick up the pieces and help in any way we can. One way is to help REPLACE all of the precious wall art and albums that have been destroyed in the floods. We've heard from so many that those large prints and albums lost were some of the most precious keepsakes.
Our studio has teamed up with Serendipity Albums, Color Inc,and a couple other local Houston studios to make this initiative a reality.
We will make this FREE to both the family who may have lost the heirloom and to the photographer who captured the images.

My curiosity as to what lies beneath a bridge as we drove into the mountains turned into another opportunity to showcase and its lesser known beauty. As it turns out, Belize is much more than its resorts and beaches.

Of all the beautiful places I photographed in Belize, San Antonio Village (referred to as "Little Texas,") was the most memorable. We were driving through on the way to Frio Rio Cave when I saw this authentic, colorful town set within the lush green mountains.
I can't really describe it but it was heart-warming and just felt right. I wanted to photograph it and preserve this memory. The people embraced us, the school kids smiled at us, and families gathered in their doorways watching. It was a special moment. After the shoot I felt I needed to talk to them so I approached a little fruit stand and they were so welcoming. I bought oranges, bananas, and even tried raw sugar cane for the first time. THIS made my trip and somehow this little town made it all worth while.
The Frio Rio Cave: yet another natural wonder of . In our 7th location in two days, I was absolutely captivated by the 65 foot opening of this cave. This adventure had us trekking up and down some precarious rocks and boulders but the team did great!

A magical, misty morning in San Ignacio, Beliz. Although we planned on shooting against a mountain ridge backdrop we were greeted with this.

Started my photography adventure this week shooting at the awe-inspiring Xunantunich Mayan Ruins and its surrounding jungle. Scaling this beast was a bit daunting in the rain but it was unforgettable!
