“Amor que se siente sin palabras, amor que se vive con el corazón.”
(Love that is felt without words, love that is lived with the heart.)
This wedding changed everything for us.
We didn’t understand a single word spoken that day. Every vow, every speech, every blessing was in Spanish. But somehow, we understood everything. We felt every emotion, every sacred moment, every quiet glance exchanged between two souls becoming one.
They trusted us with one of the most important days of their lives, even across the barrier of language. And in return, they taught us something profound: photography isn’t about capturing what we expect to see. It’s about witnessing what’s actually there. The way Kevin’s hand never left Ivette’s, the laughter that needs no translation, the traditions woven into every little detail.
We weren’t just photographers that night. We were guests, students, and witnesses to something holy.
This is the wedding that transformed how we see our work. We stopped simply photographing events and trying to make couples just “look good to the camera”. Instead, we started documenting love stories—the real, raw, beautiful ones that unfold in gestures and glances, in cultural richness and family bonds.
Kevin and Ivette, thank you for trusting us. Thank you for teaching us. And thank you for showing us that love truly is a universal language.
(Check story highlights to see their reactions when they first saw these photos—it still makes us emotional.)
