One last Teen Dance at Lyric's Venue this Friday, we want to thank all of the people who have let us host their birthday parties and to all of the teens that came out to our teen dances but unfortunately the time has come for us to try something else, nobody will miss Lyric's as much as me and Steph, we want to thank Ms. B and Hunter for being there to help out every weekend and to Phillip Brunet for helping us to build this great place for kids and also a special thanks to all of the parents that brought their kids every weekend and believed in what we were doing, we will miss our regulars most of all and know that you will all be missed very much, hope to see you all next Friday night, sincerely DJ Daz

SAVE LYRIC'S TEEN VENUE, come out on Friday night for $5 and you can come back on Saturday for $3, bring some friends and come out and have a great time, this place was built for Houma Teens to have a place to hang out in a secure environment, hope we see you this weekend

Well we are entering the month of December and I haven't had a good rant in a while, from the looks of things we have hung in there as long as we could and we have met some awesome kids and great parents but the attendance has not been enough for us to maintain staying afloat, I spoke and met with some folks on hosting fundraisers and offered a better deal than any of the restaurants have offered and still haven't gotten any takers, restaurants are offering a 10% take on their sales and I'm offering 50% and still nothing, some of the teens that have come to our place have told us that some kids that haven't been to Lyric's are saying our place is "lame" well we had a few kids that came and said that they didn't realize how much fun Lyric's was and they even believed that it was "lame" till their parents made them come check it out now they have become regulars, we are trying to do something for teens in our parish that they have never experienced not to mention keeping them off the streets, a dance club with games and concessions and it only cost $5 at the door, that's a $1.25 per hour for fun at our place, not a bad deal at all, in closing I will give this place till the end of December to decide if we will continue and hope that we could keep operating, I understand the economy is not the best right now but this place has changed some kids lives as far as getting out of there bedrooms and exploring what else is out there besides video games and cell phones, bring your teens and come meet us before you pass judgement on Lyric's, thank you for your support and thanks for sharing and helping spread the word, Dj Daz

Lyric's will be open Thanksgiving night 6-10, $5 cover charge, hope to see you all there, we will also be open Friday night and closed Saturday night for a private event, message us if you have any questions!!!
