If you had a FRIEND get “ordained” online, the marriage might not be legal anyway — there are some places where online “ordinations” are not legally recognized. Many, many couples overlook this and may not realize it until years later, perhaps when divorcing or if one person dies… and some lawyer realizes the couple was never officially married in the first place, because the officiant wasn’t really properly credentialed to perform weddings in that state. Peace of mind, hire a professional!
