Minimum’s the 911 and other truths

Hey, I get it- everyone is asking and moaning and kvetching about why it is necessary to have a minimum or minimum spend on flowers for a wedding.....
Alight – alight –I’ll set out a few reasons why we do….and hope this dispels what is reality and what is truth (no fake news here)!
Fresh flowers are not inexpensive, we use Premium flower farms– shipping costs are becoming more and more pricey (thanks to COVID), AND Flowers must be kept cold shipping and once received – let’s talk about flower coolers (NOT Low-Cost).
WE use only the best flowers such as garden roses, spray roses, ranunculus, dahlias, anemones, and peonies (seasonally) and other heirloom goodies. We use countless varieties of blooms and greenery.
WE are not a flower shop. WE are Studio Florist’s and have to pre-order flowers specifically for a wedding or event. We buy in quantities that the farms offer (can’t buy 1 or 2 of this and that). So, if a couple only wants a few items, we have no way to reuse these flowers. Small weddings – absolutely but with adequate budgets so all the flowers will be used!
Our minimum spend $3,000 is used to design weddings – which typically could include (#Bridal Bouquet, #4 Bmaids, 1 Groom, 4 Groomsmen, 10 tables and leaves room for some isles, a few blooms for cake and Sweetheart table) of course, this all depends on flowers chosen, season and availability.
WE only take on one wedding a day – all attention is focused on you! It should be your day – (not an assembly line for 7 weddings) Our time and energy are devoted to YOU!!
WE pay staff, licenses, insurance, transportation and did I mention all the amount of time to source, DESIGN (choose flowers in your color palette), (no cookie cutter pieces here), there is so much more – cutting, cleaning, counting, hydrating, delivering, set-up – ect- ect
Okay – now these above are a few reasons – there are more….
