Magician On Duty Journey returns with Citrus Age , a Seattle-based musician and selector whose sound moves through dusty melodic house, slow techno and the space between the personal and the ethereal.

A lifelong musician, Citrus Age found dance music through the shimmering art cars of Black Rock City, later becoming part of Seattle’s Reflect the Glow collective and a presence within the intimate festival culture of the Pacific Northwest.

His 20-track Journey unfolds patiently, moving through intricate grooves, psychedelic textures and melodies that seem to hover just beyond reach. The selection brings together artists from across the deeper edges of electronic music, including Mira, Chris Schwarzwälder, Animal Picnic, Midas 104, AVEM and Malü.

Rather than chasing a peak, Citrus Age lets the journey reveal itself slowly. Warm, hypnotic and occasionally strange, this is a mix built for the hours when the dance floor becomes less a place and more a state of mind.

Magician On Duty presents Fra Mørket til Lys, a two-track collaboration between Belgrade-born singer-songwriter and producer Biljana Pais and Mexican-Norwegian artist Kris Berle.

There are places where darkness is not something to escape.
It is something to move through.

Fra Mørket til Lys — From Darkness to Light — follows that passage in two movements. One begins in the shadows. The other reaches toward the light.

The opening track, “Mørket,” does not resist the darkness. It settles into it.
Minimal rhythms, submerged vocals and deep ambient spaces create a sense of stillness, turning inward rather than searching outward. At its centre is a reflection on motherhood, creation and the quiet strength of women as creators and protectors of life.
There is no grand gesture here. No need for one.

Mørket speaks through tenderness, endurance and resilience — suggesting that softness can itself become a form of strength. Its perspective reaches beyond the personal, toward a world shaped by greater care, compassion and responsibility; a future where the cycles of violence and disconnection might give way to protection, balance and connection.

Then comes “Lys.”

The second track begins to move toward the light. Ambient tension, fractured breakbeats and hypnotic textures slowly gather momentum, creating a sense of movement without ever fully revealing where it is headed. Biljana Pais’ voice floats through the production like a distant transmission — fragile yet powerful, carrying a quiet ache beneath its surface.
The song draws on small, intimate images: winter streets, a heart traced onto a fogged window, lipstick left on empty glass, lovers disappearing into silhouettes. It is a song about waiting, longing and the strange space between wanting someone and not knowing what love really means.

Together, the two tracks form a subtle arc.
From darkness to light. From the shadow to the glow.
It is a conversation between two artists whose musical languages meet somewhere between experimental electronics, ambient textures, hypnotic rhythms and emotionally charged songwriting.

For Kris Berle, whose work has appeared on labels including Katermukke, Amselcom, Hug Records, trndmsk, Heimlich, KIOSK ID and clipp.art, music has always existed somewhere between rhythm and memory — bending, pausing and moving like a wave.
Biljana Pais approaches the voice as an instrument rather than simply a vehicle for lyrics, combining improvised recordings, loopers, effects, dark synths and driving rhythms into a raw, psychedelic collage. Her work carries a tension between melancholy and vitality, darkness and the feeling of being completely alive in the present.

On Fra Mørket til Lys, those two perspectives meet.
Not as opposites, but as two sides of the same journey.

Mørket becomes the beginning.�Lys becomes the destination.
