Magician On Duty welcomes Berlin-based producer SPEYS for his upcoming release, "In Between"

Some records are born from a place. Others emerge from a feeling. In Between belongs somewhere else entirely.

Built around the idea that the most compelling moments in music exist beyond fixed definitions, SPEYS delivers an EP that refuses to settle into a single genre. Instead, In Between explores the spaces connecting them — where textures dissolve, rhythms overlap, and atmosphere becomes the guiding force.

Drawing from shades of acid, organic house, indie dance, and midtempo boogie, the release unfolds through a trippy, deep and dark sonic palette. Raw yet refined, the EP carries a profound character through minimal arrangements and intentionally reduced sound design — proving that a limited set of instruments can open an unlimited emotional landscape.

Since 2020, SPEYS has been quietly carving his own path as both producer and DJ, dissolving genre boundaries in favor of musical ritual. Moving effortlessly between low BPM hypnotism and deep psychedelia, his sound balances midtempo energy, dark disco aesthetics, and deep house sensibilities into one cohesive dancefloor language.

With In Between, SPEYS expands that philosophy into a body of work that celebrates transition rather than destination — music created not for categories, but for moments.

Built on emotion, movement, and connection, her set unfolds as a hypnotic voyage through organic rhythms, melodic textures, and late-night energy designed to dissolve borders and bring people together on the dancefloor.

For Lorensiya, music has always been more than sound — it is a language, a lifelong companion, and a way of communicating with the world. Since stepping behind the decks at the age of seventeen, she has carried the same feeling into every performance: goosebumps, emotion, and the desire to share something magical with those listening. Her journey began in Kyiv’s iconic nightlife institutions Dante, Byblos, and Sky Bar before leading her onto international stages, from the dusty magic of Burning Man to the sunrise rituals of Epizode and celebrated festivals such as Park Live and Trip.

That spirit flows naturally through her Magician On Duty Journey Series appearance. Carefully curated and deeply immersive, the recording balances driving grooves with sensual melodies and atmospheric tension, creating a cinematic dancefloor experience that feels equally suited for sunrise moments, desert gatherings, and intimate late-night escapes.

Magician On Duty proudly announces a new installment of its Journey Series, welcoming the artist Lucidlavalamb with a deeply immersive live recording captured at Liebesting Festival 2025 in Vesoul, France.

This contribution is rooted in a simple but essential idea: how we begin the day shapes everything that follows. Recorded during an early festival moment, the set was designed as a calm and mindful sonic offering, created to support a stressless and grounded start amid the fast pace of contemporary life. With this recording, lucidlavalamb translates that intention into sound, delivering a fluid and restorative musical journey that reflects both presence and ease.

Since 2011, lucidlavalamb has been shaping musical experiences as a DJ, sonic curator, and creator of audio art through his platform Soundkulissendesign. His work is defined by a deep fascination with forgotten, overlooked, and rediscovered music, which he carefully recontextualizes into new emotional narratives. His sets unfold like light-footed stories, sometimes airy and delicate, sometimes playful and rhythmic, often drifting between groove and hypnosis. His sound language moves freely across a wide spectrum, connecting ambient atmospheres, cosmic funk, exotic electro textures, world-inspired dance rhythms, breakbeat-infused dream states, and Balearic trance influences.

At the core of his approach lies a philosophy of openness and unpredictability. Each performance is shaped in real time, guided by sensitivity to the room and the emotional flow of the audience. The result is always fluid and evolving, never fixed, always responsive. Over the years and across more than 250 live performances since 2021, he has also worked closely with nand_musik as a soundscape designer, live DJ, and co-producer, further refining his ability to transform spaces into living, breathing musical environments.
The Magician On Duty Journey Series release captures this essence in full. It is not just a recording of a set, but a document of a moment where intention, atmosphere, and audience energy converged into a shared experience. As always, the guiding principle remains that uncertainty is part of the journey, and within it lies the magic of discovery.
