Marilyn Jesrani, owner of Super Kid Science, is a national board certified Wake County teacher, BS and MS from University of Florida, member of the National Science and Teachers Association and a certified kayak instructor guide through the American Canoe Association. She is CPR, first aid and safety trained and has a state background check.

I will be taking out a kayaking group at Harris Lake State Park on Saturday at 1:00-2:30 and giving an introductory kayak lesson. The price is $20 per person. Many parents are concerned about enrolling children in camp this summer and it is a difficult choice. We weigh between concerns about health risks and our children's social and mental health. Our programs are designed to be a safer alternative, though no social activity is guaranteed to be safe. Each camp will be limited to 5 children (your personal group with no outside people joining the group). We will take daily temperatures, monitor home risks and illnesses and implement practices to reduce the spread of and contact with germs. We will practice social distancing from other groups of people and wear face masks when mandated. Wearing face masks when we are isolated to our private group will be a decision made by the parents in your group. If our state is not in phase 2 of the COVID quarantine or the numbers have shifted and your group decides to cancel, participants will receive a full refund. This is a difficult choice and we all have different opinions about how we want to approach this pandemic. We take your child and family's health seriously. Participation is respectfully at your own risk and judgment.

One opening in our Trailblazer and Ocean to Mountain Camp for a 12/13 year old boy.
Both camps overlap and are a combined price of $625. July 6 – 16. Includes a trip to the ocean with a one night aquarium sleepover and a one night camping trip at hanging rock mountain. This spot is specifically open for a 12/13 year old boy because we are balancing out the groups of kids that are already registered for these camp. Each camp will have 7 kids to keep our ratio down and will implement hygiene practices to help prevent illness.

If you are unsure about camp this summer, you are not alone. Super Kid Science is offering some low ratio camps with full refunds if we are still under quarantine. Here is our policy:
Super Kid Science values your child's health and safety. All of our camps will be limited to 6 children and 2 adult leaders this summer to help reduce health risks. We will also follow safety procedures to reduce the spread of infection to the best of our abilities during our sessions. If the state or counties are under quarantine at the time of our programs, all fees will be fully refunded.
