Chadbourne Farm Lodge and Stable The Chadbourne Farm Lodge and Stable is a comfortable refurbished farmhouse with lots of charm. There is a 20 unit dog kennel with fenced in exercise area.

The farm features 30 acres with large pastures, multiple paddocks, a barn and a round pen.

What a beautiful day today. My granddaugher that rides was here from Maine. Did get to go riding. Got a little sunburn. Not use to going without a long sleeve shirt. I've sold the farm. It will be run the same way, just different people. I will be running it until middle of August. They will live in apartment. so come see me soon.

The lodge is full. Some riding, some turkey hunting. And everyone good and wet.The dryers are humming. I made a 4 layer cake, so good. My sister and her husband are here helping with the property again this year. My daughter in law and granddaughter plus the boyfriend are on their way. Be here tomorrow. We'll be crowded in the 2 apartments but what fun.!

A rider was here today w/ her standard poodle. I always thought I would like to have one. The people that have them say they are very intelligent. Her vet husband, that deals w/ dogs all the time said it is the smatrest dog he has ever been around. any comments?

The Sedgefield Fox Hunt was this past week-end. I was full w. the Stonewall Hunt Club from Va.Even the hounds stayed here. Normally they stay up at the field trial grounds. They were much happier here.I got taken out to dinner twice, given a gift basket (large one) I will miss it here when sold. I've made so many friends,I even sold the quilt w/ horses appliqued on it for $550.

Am going next door to apartment for the third evening. The 2 gals from Boone that rent it every year are here. we have appertizers and wine every night. No Cooking~~~~

The 3 rail riders were going home and one horse just wouldn't get on the trailer, along came the girls from Texas, 3 day eventers, and voila, on she went. I wasn't out there, so don't know what they did differently.All in the know!!!

Full house this week-end. Lots of fun. One couple was here to do the 26 mile race in Ellerbe (the husband anyway.). It was a running race, The parade in Southern Pines was to start at 11 am. Must have been cancelled. The afternoon turned out to be beautiful and the gals did get their trail ride in.

Sat. 14th. Have the apartment available for tonight. That's it. very cozy and warm. going out until 2;30 this afternoon but will be back for rest of day.

2 couples are coming for the first two weeks in April with their 4 horses. This will be there 4th year.They have beautiful horses. Frederic is the president of TREC in Canada. They have over 400 members. They ride everyday.

The only good thing I have to say about this cold ,nasty weather is that I don't have fields and lawns to mow, and to wet to rake.The sewing has been a lot of fun for me. If you want to come ride, I only have availability next week-end in March. April the first 2 week-ends, May, only the third week-end is rented, so far.
