A warm mahalo to our Silent Auction Donors - all 91 of them and to those who participated 🌸🙏

Your generosity helped us to raise funds for the Hilo Orchid Society Scholarship Fund - each year the Society gives scholarships to students at the University of Hawaii. Our scholarships are named in honor of Yasuji Takasaki, founder of Carmela Orchids and one of the pioneers of orchid culture on the island of Hawaii. Unable to go to school beyond 8th grade, Yasuji Takasaki believed in the power of education to help young people achieve their dreams. We are pleased to perpetuate his vision. Pictured are past winners of the Yasuji Takasaki Memorial Scholarship. 🎓

Because of your kind donations and community spirit, we're able to give back in a meaningful way - investing in the next generation while celebrating the beauty of orchids. 💕🙏
