A LITTLE HELLO FROM THE PVT STUDIOS ~

To everybody who spends part of your weeknights with me on B999 Nights, 7–Midnight — thank you. Seriously. You’re the reason sitting here in the PVT Studios every night is so much fun.

I’ve been thinking lately about how much my taste in country music has changed. I never thought I’d say this, but there’s a lot of this newer country that has really grabbed me more than the older stuff — even some of the songs lean pretty heavily toward pop. And I’ve discovered a bunch of independent country artists lately that I honestly enjoy more than a lot of the big-name, mainstream country artists themselves that are just as good.

Of course, I’ll always have a special place for the country I grew up loving from the ’80s and ’90s. That stuff isn’t going anywhere. But there’s some really good music being made right now, too.

And I don't know about you, I’m already dreading the cold weather. 😂 Give me a hot tub on a cool evening, maybe some good music or just a quiet time and I'm pretty happy.

Mostly, I just wanted to say HELLO and THANK YOU to everyone who tunes in. Whether you listen every night, catch me occasionally, or just happen to stumble across B999, I hope you continue to stick with me because — I appreciate you more than you know and being apart of B99.9 - Southern Virginia's Country Station

MARTINSVILLE SPEEDWAY SHOUT‑OUT
What a great time out at Martinsville Speedway this weekend. Big hey to school bus driver C.D. White, and to Brandon Brown from South Boston Speedway gave Craig and Mark an exciting interview while he was there to enjoy the race.
MRN’s Voice of NASCAR, Alex Hayden,we always enjoy when Alex stops by to give us a first hand interview. Always good seeing our racing family. and to Mike and Cheryl, who moved from Washington State to Snow Creek — and we’re proud that B99.9, Southern Virginia’s Country Station, is the first station you found and stuck with. Welcome to Southern Virginia.
We also got to meet Jimmy Cuttingham, who streams B99.9 all the way up in Ohio. Jimmy was in town for the race and finally got to put faces with the station he listens to every day.
And a special hello to Barbara, one of our weekend ticket winners who scored passes to all three races and stopped by to say hi and thanked B999 for the tickets!
