Hi, Flower Friends! 🌸

I hope you were able to pick up a beautiful bouquet from my friends at Apple & Dove at the Farmers Market today. My family and I are enjoying some summer vacation time in Ireland, so I'll miss next week's market as well.

I'll be back at the Farmers Market after that and will be there every week through the end of September. I can't wait to see you all again soon!

🌻 Sunflowers! 🌻

I plant a new row every week to keep the blooms coming all season long. When it's time, I do a shallow till (just 2–3 inches), sow the seeds with my EarthWay seeder, and then cover the row with frost cloth.

Why the extra step? Because birds, mice, and even baby bunnies think sunflower seeds are a pretty great snack! The frost cloth protects the seeds while they germinate and gives them a chance to get established.

Three weeks of sunflower success growing here, with plenty more on the way! 🌻💛
