When Taylor and I got married, I made the decision to rent my suit from and honestly, I can’t recommend it enough. Let’s be real, most of us aren’t wearing tuxedos or formal suits on the regular. Why would you spend hundreds of dollars on something that will live in the back of your closet, when you can rent something just as nice for a fraction of the price?

If you’re still struggling to decide I’ll break it down for ya:

👔 Renting is stress free. You get access to designer looks without the price tag. And the best part, when the party is over you just return it.

💼 If you attend formal events or even want a tailored suit to keep forever, making this investment is definitely worth it.

For most grooms though? Renting is the way to go. You’ll look great and save money while doing it.

When I’m building timelines with my couples, one of my go-to suggestions is to do their first dance and cake cutting immediately after their grand entrance.

Here’s why I love this approach:
✨ Everyone is already seated, and all eyes are naturally on you. No need to shuffle people back into their seats later.
✨ It flows beautifully. The energy of your entrance rolls right into a meaningful moment.
✨ It saves your outfits! No worries about food or drink accidents before you hit the dance floor.

It’s such a simple adjustment, but it creates a really intentional, polished feel to the start of your reception and keeps the rest of the night stress-free. I’ve seen how much smoother the evening feels when couples choose this option, and honestly, it gives you one more moment to just soak in being celebrated before dinner and mingling begin.

I always remind my couples that your timeline should work for you, not the other way around. That’s the beauty of thoughtful planning.
