Meet Noel! This year’s fully loaded Christmas wreath and we are smitten!

Noel is one of FOUR wreaths we are creating this year (the one with ALL the goods… and all the drama) and we can’t wait to share each one of them with you!

P.S. I, like many of you, hate that Christmas is a thought in October! But last year, shipping delays caused orders to not arrive until a week before Christmas and this year I am fighting that with everything in me, because I want you to get your orders ASAP!!!

Friends, I know this heat wave we are getting makes FALL seem like forever away, but it is ALMOST here… like September will be here in 19 days…

If you want Spring flowers (think ranunculus, tulips, peonies, daffodils, anemones… swipe for all the examples) then you plant them in the FALL! Which means, you order them NOW! Like today from !

Today at 10am, one of my favorite local gardeners, Laura from is opening the FALL BULB sale to the public! I was lucky enough to get early access last night and got so many goodies (seriously, don’t let Emory look at the receipt) that I can’t wait to see bloom come March/April! My absolute favorite treasure I snagged?! The La Belle Époque tulip (swipe to see this stunner) which I have been trying to get for 2 years!!! I also got 7 different types of ranunculus (seriously addicted to them), 2 new types of daffodils to my garden, 2 new peonies (I couldn’t resist), and 8 varieties of double tulips… this year tulips stole my heart and they are SOOOO EASY TO GROW!!!

Basically, I would implore you to go visit their sale (LINK IN BIO) and pick at least ONE fall bulb to plant! I promise in early Spring 2022 you will thank me!

This past weekend I had the opportunity to work with as a freelance floral designer at and the wedding design by was magical. Patterns and shades of blue with the soft florals made it classically romantic with a twist of elegant southern charm! Literally had me 😍😍😍 from start to finish!

Also, I LOVE textured and patterned linens done right! I’d love to hear what you think!

Friends, I have struggled with perfectionism my entire life and my counselor recently asked “where does that come from?” I came to the conclusion that honestly, for the first 25 years of my life, although I wasn’t perfect by any means... I was pretty darn successful at 99% of what I tried. But life has a way of humbling you, when no matter how much you “try” you can’t keep all the balls in the air (heck sometimes it feels like you can’t play catch with Velcro gloves).

I have learned a lot of life lessons in the garden and one of them is to surrender perfectionism. As an organic gardener, bugs come... some good ones that help your garden and make you happy, and some that destroy all your beautiful blooms and make you want to wage chemical war on them (which you resist the urge to do because you care about the earth and pollinators). Like I shared a few weeks ago, sometimes you can do everything right and things still just don’t grow the way you hope they will. Sometimes you overwater and sometimes your plants look a little too thirsty because you have been struggling to even remember how many days it’s been since you washed your hair.

Perfection is not meant for the garden and it isn’t meant for the human soul either. Our pursuit of it... and even the “attainment”of it at times... can be our enemy, steal our joy, and lead us to anxious and hopeless places. Today I am processing how to give grace to myself the way I give it to other people, flowers, and definitely the dogs! The way Christ gives, which is the most perfect example of grace.

Meet Jennifer and Garrett! A next VGC couple that is getting married in an intimate ceremony on a very patriotic weekend in July 🇺🇸 From the moment Jennifer’s email landed in my inbox, my heart burst with the desire to flower their special day in beauty and honor of some cherished loved ones they have lost. I cannot wait to see these two celebrate their love in a way that is so personal and meaningful.

Also, when sent me this engagement gallery, I couldn’t help but pick at least ONE to post! There were SOOO many beauties from this couples DC engagement shoot! I can’t wait to see the magic Arli creates on their wedding day!

I definitely have a more cozy minimalist style and am VERY particular about what actually gets a hole in my wall, but this beauty is definitely deserving! I love the clean and simple lines of the frames and the earthy tones of the image!

My girl knew me so well and got me this flower basket for my birthday and I’m all 😍😍😍 at them! And these butterfly ranunculus just really bring it to another level of adorableness!

, , and I all met up last night to bundle the peonies! We ate pizza, listened to Taylor Swift, sassily rebuttalled each other, and talked in 90% TikTok audios.

Playing with flowers is therapeutic. Playing with flowers with friends is just fun! We are blessed by these two beautiful ladies in our home, life, and business! So abundantly blessed!

By the way, we made a few small bundles of peonies that you can buy TODAY or Saturday at either in Staunton or in Harrisonburg!!! Enjoy!!!
