To Favor or Not to Favor...
That is the ultimate question. I cannot tell you how many couples wrack their brains over favors. Here are the facts on favors:
Your friends and family LOVE you so much! They are super pumped to join you on your special day, they are not however pumped to take home a tchotchke with your names and wedding dates on them. Especially one offs (a single engraved champagne glass) that is going to be shoved into the back of a cupboard (with love) to never see the light of day again because when are they realistically going to use this in real life.

Picture frames, champagne flutes, and candy bars are all great sentiments but in reality over half of guests either leave/break them at the reception, toss them at the hotel or once they’re home, or don’t partake the way you’ve envisioned in your mind. Spend that $200-$300 toward extra playing time for the band or the open bar, or add another hors d’oeuvre to menu - guests will appreciate that more than another item that will end up at the Salvation Army or the local landfill.

Everyone feels that the custom of providing guests with wedding favors is a must and this is a common misconception. Unless it means something special to you, you do not need to do it! People won’t even miss them.
