Happy National Bicycle Day!

There is nothing quite like catching the golden hour where the pavement meets the sand, especially when the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk is filled with bicycles under a gorgeous sunset. Seeing this senior standing proudly in her UCLA sweatshirt surrounded by all that energy is the perfect reminder of the simple joy of a bike ride and the beautiful places it can take us.

Watching a client grow from a little girl into a college graduate is one of the greatest honors of this job. I have been lucky enough to document so many chapters of this graduate's life, from her childhood portraits to her beautiful Quinceañera, and now to this incredible milestone at Fresno State.

It is so moving to look back at where we started and see the accomplished woman she has become today. We had such a wonderful time capturing her graduation portraits on campus, and I couldn't be prouder of everything she has achieved.

Congratulations on your graduation from Fresno State. You have worked so hard for this moment, and I can't wait to see the amazing things you do next! Go Bulldogs.🐾

We both put in quite a few miles to make this session happen, and meeting in Santa Cruz was such a fun way to bridge the distance between Hanford and Los Angeles. The coast always provides such a beautiful setting, even if we did have to stay on our toes the entire time.

If you are planning to walk along the beach boardwalk at sunset, you definitely have to be careful and beware of the bicyclers. We almost got run over a couple of times, but we managed to dodge them and get some truly beautiful shots.

This senior was absolutely wonderful to work with and did such a great job despite the crowds. I loved getting to capture this special time for her, and I am so glad we both made the drive to such a classic California location.

I am feeling so grateful for the wonderful people this business brings into my life. I first photographed this family more than ten years ago, and getting them all back in front of my camera for Dawsyn's senior portraits was such a treat.

It was a true family affair with the brothers and their girlfriends joining us, and I love the dedication of a dad who comes straight from a camping trip just to be part of the session.

Dawsyn, you have grown into such an impressive young woman, and I am so happy for you as you start this new journey.
