Hi Friends (and whomever this reaches that wants to be friends!)
When I think about the ethos of the WRV two very specific things come to mind: Fun and Community! I do not think it's a coincidence so many non-profits call 5B home, and the same for so many artists. Which makes the 5B Battle of the Bands a natural fit and why it is scheduled to return to the Liberty Theater in Hailey on Saturday November 21st!
However, we can't do this without sponsors. They help cover our costs, which include cool prizes for the winning bands AND allow us to make a generous contribution to the winning bands' non-profit of choice, while keeping the ticket price low for all you rad attendees who come out to support local live music!
If you have a business that is willing to sponsor this amazing event, please do reach out!
Sponsor levels posted in the comments. Thank you in advance for your continued support!

Boise friends! (Or any friends who find themselves in Boise on Friday night!) I have been trying to get involved in the music scene here but it’s a lot and life has been a lot lately and I am finally trying to get something going thanks to the The Handlebar Boise and House With No Name who was at the 5B Battle of the Bands - Friday night is the night! No cover (or covers!) Original music from this young band who I declared to remind me of The Beatles from the Liberty Theater Hailey stage - and I meant it in all the right ways! Trained by none other than RL Rowsey (IYKYK!!) please come out and support live local music at my favorite Boise bar. Please and thank you and see you there!

Day 4 was the day we had been waiting for to see take a stage to triumphantly claim her battle prize. Backed by (which also features battle Juge/MC and battle Stage manager and solo entrant - (we’re a tight knit family around here!) and it did not disappoint! From the opening note to the last, this was a powerful set! Also in the house was our youngest battle entrant, Georgia Blu, and 2nd year battle judge .son.shaw.

There was a bit of fun at the Alefort Hootenanny where some of our battle besties took part in a square dance call / lesson.

Later I caught up with a bunch of battle besties at the same couple of shows - , The Barsotti’s, battle entrant Dr Archie of Doghaus, and my trusty stagehand (it’s like we all have the same good taste in music or something 😉).

What a great day 4 for the battle besties all around! It’s been so fun seeing you all perform, support, dance, and Treefort your little hearts out!
