I know it’s supposed to be such a gorgeous fall day on Saturday. But hear me out. These bands are gonna blow the roof off and then we’ll have a sunroof and enjoy the sun, too!

Here’s all the deets on what’s gonna be another epic battle at the Liberty Theater you don’t wanna miss.

🍺VIP includes balcony access, beer, including seltzer and N/A, provided by and a selection of snackies (including chips, crackers, granola bars, trail mix, chocolate)

- IYKYK! And if you don’t you wanna know! A powerhouse vocalist and songwriter whose music bridges folk, soul, and the raw spirit of the Idaho landscape.

the Gravy Train - self described as
the clash meets love songs, cowboy music and jam rock. So intriguing!

And aka Sweet Joy Lee from Tennessee- she is normally heard playing with the . In fact she’ll be coming from a day gig with her band to grace us with a special solo appearance on Saturday.

We’re regional now!

We are so excited to welcome 5 acts from outside of 5B (3 from Pocatello and 2 from Boise).

is a singer-songwriter from Boise. He writes about a variety of topics with a focus on wordplay and storytelling. He smells like chamomile and is rumored to be able to speak to woodland animals.

House with No Name inspirations come from many different genres and artists. Every song that withstood the test of time had some story to tell, with the intent of displaying countless different emotions. Some of us have played music all our lives, some of us were inspired later to learn. We are a blend of that sound. A sound that’s not meant for one group or one genre.

are out of Pocatello and playing on behalf of the Idaho Food Bank
heathens.saints are a Mountain Folk-rock band from Pocatello, Idaho. The group met each other at a local open mic in 2021 and has been captivating audiences since.

also emerged out of Pocatello’s open mic scene in 2021 with a genre-blending sound that fuses funk, rock, disco, reggae, and a touch of metal. Influenced by legends like The Grateful Dead, Led Zeppelin, and Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Who is competing in this thing this year?

We are so happy to have three returning bands from last year! It’s going to be so much fun to see how they have evolved over the last year and what they have new to bring this year!

Dump Rules performs at 2:30. Last year as a 2 piece and this year as a 4 piece; they came out of almost nowhere to really impress us all and we can’t wait to see them bigger and better than ever before!

Georgia Blu performs at 3pm. She’s a teenager now, has been playing guitar for three years, and as impresive as she was last year, and still our youngest battle artist, we are so excited to see her growth!

Doghaus is a valley perennial fave, bringing a dancing set at 6:30pm to the battle stage. This indie jam band is sure to impress and get you out of your seats and onto the dance floor following our mid-way break!

Who’s judging this thing anyway?

We are so happy is returning for year two to MC and judge. He was invaluable last year in keeping this thing on the rails and we are so glad he’s returning!

We are also welcoming to the judges panel. Quite the renaissance man - graphic design, photographer, videographer, live event planner, and a musician himself - we are so happy Jay could lend his talents to the battle!

KDPI DJ .son.shaw has a deep appreciation for people that are gifted with the ability to write songs, orchestrate tunes, play instruments, sing and get on stage and share their talents with the audience, and as an avid music consumer, she is of course going to make an awesome battle judge!

And we have , a Boise-based promoter, curator, DJ, and Talent Buyer for Duck Club Entertainment. A longtime contributor to Treefort Music Fest since its inception, she is going to round out this panel perfectly!

They will be scoring the acts and the highest scoring act gets a slot at the highly acclaimed Treefort Music Festival 🤘🏰

Update: Doghaus time changed, takes the stage at 6:30 PM

It's time for Battle of the Bands! Saturday Nov 15 at the Liberty Theater! Doors open 1:30pm. 15 bands compete. Doghaus plays at 6:30pm. We're bringing the boogie jam, so bring your dancing shoes! Prizes include a spot at Treefort Music Festival in Boise and $1000 to a local nonprofit - we are playing in support of The Advocates.

Doghaus is an indie jamband rock quartet from Hailey, Idaho. With harmony vocals, lingering leads, compelling songwriting, and an infectious boogie groove, Tom Archie (guitar), Henno Heitur (bass), Paul Gregory (keys) and Jason Vontver (drums) blend elements of folk rock, jazz, punk, grunge, and soul with a topping of improvisation.
