Stormy morning here in Grinnell so I’ve got a moment to share the photos from early June hive checks. Honey supers are continuing to get stacked on the hives. And I grafted another round of queen cells. The last photo is our State Apriast with my Iowa Honey Producers Association youth scholarship recipient that I’m mentioning. Pulled into one of the bee yards this afternoon just as a swarm was leaving the cut comb colony. Luckily I caught them from a low hanging mulberry tree branch before they decided to move further down the road.
