I can just picture the Lord looking down at one of his beautiful children. As this scripture reminded me, I was hand-picked. An American family, Jan & Ed Monahan, selected me. They took a trip to Bogotá, Colombia to pick me up. I became the newest member of their family. They stayed in Colombia for 10 days, and then we all left and got on a plane to travel to the States. I was adopted when I was 2 1/2 from Los Pisingos in November of 1977. My life changed, and it has been changing ever since. God continues to remind me that I am pretty special, and I have many more journeys to go on. I accepted Christ when I was 21 at a spiritual emphasis week. I always felt like there was a higher power watching over me and guarding me throughout my life. Now at 41, I am realizing that I am not only an adoptee from Colombia, but I have also been adopted into the family of Christ.
