There is something so special about an East Coast North Carolina wedding — the coastal breeze, the beautiful scenery, and the peaceful reminder that some of life’s sweetest moments are meant to be celebrated surrounded by love.

Congratulations to A + S on their wedding day! It was such an honor to coordinate such a meaningful day, and even sweeter because this one was for friends of mine. Watching two people begin their forever is always special, but getting to help dear friends step into this next chapter made it that much more memorable.

This weekend, I got the chance to experience a wedding from a different perspective—not as the coordinator, but as a bridesmaid.

Being on the other side of a wedding day was such a special reminder of why wedding coordination matters so much. Instead of managing timelines, answering vendor questions, and making sure every detail was in place, I was able to simply be present—celebrating, supporting the bride, and soaking in every moment.

It reinforced something I always tell my couples: your wedding day should be spent making memories, not managing logistics.

As a coordinator, my goal is to give couples the freedom to enjoy their day the way I was able to enjoy this one—fully present, stress-free, and focused on the people they love most.
