With the help of a talented seamstress, , the gown was redesigned into something modern while still preserving pieces of the original lace and fabric.

The bride’s mother helping her into the very dress she once wore herself made the moment even more special. 🤍

✨Friends on Friday ✨

Today I’m highlighting one of my favorite sweet treat creators, Patty Gillaspie, owner of Patty’s Cakes and Cookies Too.

Patty runs a home-based bakery creating custom cakes, wedding cakes, cheesecakes, cookies, and dessert table treats, all made from scratch with so much care and attention to detail. Her heart for celebrating life’s special moments shines through in everything she makes.

Her baking journey started by making cheesecakes for family and friends, and before long people were asking her to create cakes for their celebrations. What started as a hobby naturally grew into a business that now helps make birthdays, weddings, baby showers, and family gatherings even sweeter.

She also offers Photo Booth rentals, adding a little extra fun and memories to any event!

I love getting to work alongside talented vendors like Patty who pour their heart into what they do. 💜🎂🍰🧁🥮💜

Why I started Purple Roses Events & Designs…

It began when my girls were growing up.

I have always loved planning and organizing — especially when it meant celebrating someone I love. Birthday parties, graduation parties, special milestones… I poured my heart into every single one.

I loved the details.
I loved bringing everything together.
I loved watching a vision come to life.

After helping with several weddings and events, people started encouraging me -
“You should really do this.”
“You’re so good at this.”

So this little business of mine was born.

What started as loving my girls well, turned into loving my couples well. And now, in this sweet season of grandchildren, I understand it even more deeply -

Purple Roses isn’t just about beautiful events. It’s about honoring the milestones that shape our families for generations.
