Thereā€™s something especially meaningful about designing wedding flowers for a ceremony held at my own church. Sharing the same parish as the groomā€™s parents made this wedding feel even more personal, and it was such an honor to be part of their special day. A romantic blend of soft mauve, ivory, and blush with rich burgundy accents brought warmth and elegance to the church and reception. Such a beautiful beginning to a lifetime together. Some weddings are beautiful because of the flowers, and some are beautiful because of the people behind them. This one was both.
We met Chrissy and Mark (brideā€™s parents) during our very first year of JO volleyball and instantly became friends. They quickly became those people you were always excited to see at every tournament, the ones you knew youā€™d spend the weekend laughing with. Over the years, that friendship became something really special.
So when they asked me to design the flowers for their daughterā€™s wedding, I was truly honored. And she was an absolute dream bride!! Ellie was so easy to work with, trusting throughout the entire process, and genuinely grateful for everything I created for her.
The result was one of my favorite classic weddings Iā€™ve ever designed. An elegant black-and-white celebration filled with timeless white roses, hydrangeas and ranunculus, tons of candlelight, and gorgeous Southern smilax cascading from the chandeliers. Classic, romantic and absolutely stunning.
The next morning, as I was cleaning everything up, I got to hug Ellie one last time, and it felt like the perfect ending to such a special weekend. Grateful for this beautiful family and so honored I got to be a small part of such an unforgettable day.

Some weddings just mean a little more. šŸ¤
One of the greatest blessings in life is finding friends who, somewhere along the way, start to feel like family. This beautiful bride has coached my daughter for the past two years, and even now, sheā€™s still there coaching, encouraging, and cheering her on from the sidelines during varsity games.
So getting to design the flowers for her wedding was already incredibly special, but having the honor of being their day of coordinator made this day one Iā€™ll never forget. I got to be behind the scenes for all those little moments you donā€™t always get to seeā€¦ helping everything come together, giving hugs before they walked down the aisle, and then standing back and watching two wonderful people get married on the most perfect day.
And I loved that my daughter was right there beside me all day, helping with setup, pictures, and coordinating. One of the sweetest moments was when the groom told her he hopes heā€™s invited to her wedding someday. šŸ„¹
Feeling especially grateful for the people who come into our lives and for the privilege of being part of days like this.
