🎶 Spencer County Music Fest Delivers Unforgettable Weekend of Talent, Community, and Legacy
Grandview, Indiana — The Spencer County Music Fest wrapped up with resounding success, bringing together local stars, national headliners, and a deeply united community. Hosted by Steve Bridgmon, ICMA multiple award winner, the festival showcased emerging talent and honored the spirit of Grandview through music, storytelling, and celebration.
🌟 Nashville Talent Search Launches Local Artists to National Stage
Four standout performers from the festival’s Nashville Talent Search were selected by Bridgmon to advance to his "Small Town America" finals at the Grand Ole Opry in March. Among them:
- Wade Papineau (Hatfield, IN) and Corley Cheek (Owensboro, KY) joined Marty Brown onstage for a memorable performance.
Rising Country/Bluegrass group The Rosine Sound caught the attention of a Nashville producer, marking a major milestone in their musical journey.
🏆 Honoring Grandview Through Song
Bobby Clark accepted his and John Mellencamp’s award for their co-written anthem Grandview, celebrating the beauty and spirit of the town. The People of Grandview presented heartfelt awards, followed by a high-energy performance from The Bobby Clark Band and the electrifying MELLECOUGAR.
🎤 Show-Stopping Performances
- Zachariah Smith delivered a powerhouse set backed by percussionist Kelly Clark and keyboardist Eric Dickenson.
- Rick LeDune, winner of the Nashville Talent Search, wowed the crowd with his country comedy show.
- Cynthia Isbell-Yeager and Scott Lindsey captivated audiences, with Lindsey securing a Nashville songwriting partnership to distribute his catalog and book future performances.
🎶 Finalists Who Shined Bright
Finalists Corley Cheek, Katelyn Cassidy, Keith Brown, Tyler Huber, and Clint George showcased exceptional talent and made valuable industry connections.
🎆 Saturday Night Spectacle
The festival closed with fireworks and a crowd-raising performance by Marty Brown and Andy Griggs, whose song I Pulled a Hank Last Night had the audience on their feet.
🙌 Community Collaboration
Special thanks to the Grandview Town Board—President Dakota Risse, Town Manager Sam Rose, Stan Hoss, Doug Risse, and the town team—for their hands-on support. The stage was provided by Soundscape Crew (Indianapolis), led by Jamin, now the official sound crew for Tunesmith Entertainment.
