This wedding was precious. Kalie and Mark… I absolutely love and adore your authenticity, your hearts, your quirkiness… The two of you complement each other perfectly! It was an honor to witness the love you two share and the beautiful support you have from family/friends.

One of the things that stood out to me the most was Mark, your dad’s speech. While all of the speeches were unique, fun and thoroughly entertaining, his speech shed a bright spotlight on an aspect not often emphasized much on a wedding day… the joining of families and friends.

The amount of attention your dad gave, and the time he took to share glimpses into the character behind some of your biggest supporters, was different than what I am used to seeing… yet it felt so special, so intimate, so “right.” It invoked authentic, emotional responses from all of your guests (I have so many photos of people shedding beautiful tears). It shared the “attention” and somehow it just made sense. In a sense, everyone was invited to the head table.

A wedding day, yes, is about the couple… but standing right beside them (hopefully) there stands supportive, loving family/friends… The people who helped them get to that pivotal moment of saying, “I do.” And, ideally, those are people that can be leaned on, who will continue to be inspirational examples of what love looks like, who will be part of many memories to come. A wedding day invites all of those loved ones to join “as one” and that’s what your dad’s speech reminded me of… A celebration of the joining of families and friends.

I felt so humbled to witness the genuine support and love you two are surrounded by. I have no doubt that when/if you guys are ever in need, you truly have the family/friends who will back up their commitment to be there for you.

Cheers to MANY years of laughter, love and happily ever after… so cheesy, but so fitting!

Mark and Katie... Congratulations on your one week anniversary (haha)! We had a blast celebrating the two of you last Saturday. Congratulations to these two cutie pies! Hunter and Jess... You two were a dream to work with. I loved how you had so much fun planned into your wedding day and how unique/special everything was... from hosting your wedding on your very own land, to having guests seated on hay bales, to tossing shirts at your guests, the shoe game, anniversary dance, sparklers... Was an absolute blast from the moment I arrived until the moment I left. Thank you for trusting me to capture your day! I'd love to say so many more things about the two of you, but I am headed out the door and didn't want you to go another day without your sneak peek!

Matthew and Jade - What a treat you two were to work with. Thank you for inviting me into some of your most intimate moments as the two of you celebrated becoming one. It was an honor to hear your personal vows, to get a tiny glimpse of the love you two share. To see you both offer kind touches in support of the emotions being shared. It was also so much FUN and heartwarming hearing your friends' and family member's speeches... lots of beautiful and strait up joyfully/funny memories you've had independently and as a couple.

Jade, you were simply stunning. You're a "badass" babe decorated in the most beautiful wedding gown and furthermore, you embody so much love and strength. Thank you for conquering so much and vulnerably continuing to embrace life, it's ups and downs, while rising above it all.

And Matthew, so sweet. Your gentle soul no doubt offers the safety, patience and unconditional love that all partners deserve, but not all embrace. I hope you're able to abundantly fill your cup and continually overflow with the zeal and energy every individual and partnership needs.

You two, keep holding tight to one another... never forget the love you shared on your wedding day and let that blossom and grow into something you couldn't ever possibly imagine! Much love from Chris and I to the two of you.

Dom and Linsey... You two truly are just so special. It was an honor to photograph and DJ your wedding! I felt like a real VIP all day getting to capture so many special moments.

Linsey - I feel like this may be a strange thing for me to say, but as I looked through your photos, I couldn't help but think, "Linsey was made to be a bride." Specifically during the getting ready photos, I love how I can literally see you absorbing all the words of adoration given by your girls, a calm look of confidence on your face as if to say, in the most humble of ways, "Yes, I know. I am an absolutely stunning and radiant bride, aren't I ?!?!"

I can't help but be struck by how calm you were, how ready. You appeared to be literally soaking in every single moment, putting each word, each thought, each expression into your beautiful memory bank. So special. You embody kindness, patience, empathy... all stunning characteristics of a genuine, beautiful soul. I am so honored to have met you.

Dom - I so appreciate you and get you. You bring so much energy and care to the people around you, especially Linsey. Some of my favorite photos are the ones that captured you sneaking quick peeks at your beautiful bride during the ceremony. While Linsey was either watching the musician, or reader, or officiant, you were adorably distracted by your gorgeous "sidekick." Cannot wait to share those moments with you both. I know you will continue to bring much love and laughter into your marriage.

Happy one week anniversary to Sam and Ashley! What a beautiful day and setting we had to celebrate the two of you becoming one! Surrounded by bright, spacious skies and tall pines boasting saturated green and blue hues, supportive friends and family... what more could we have asked for? The thought you put into all the details of your attire, decor, setting, guests, dinner, etc... to the detailed vows expressing your love of one another... it was all so absolutely perfect! Thank you for inviting me to join in the celebration of your love and the beginning to the rest of your happily ever after!

GOOD morning! It's been a while since I last posted. Most of my weeks are filled with commercial shoots, but I'm still also photographing weddings, seniors, real estate, maternity, etc.

LOVED every second with this growing family. Mr. Huxley... You are such a cute, spunky little monkey. So much fun chasing you around. Joe and Emily... You guys are pretty great too. Haha! In all seriousness, thank you for having me hang out with the three of you and trusting me to capture these precious memories.

This wedding celebration was perfection. From the pure perfection of Hunter and Aubrey’s personalities and beauty, to the magnificent and stunning backdrop of Greysolon Ballroom, to the celebratory enthusiasm of guests enjoying the evening, to the wild and entertaining speeches that had everyone roaring in laughter, to the moms diligently avoiding crying while giving speeches, to the PACKED dance floor… It could not have been more incredible!

EVERY time I asked Hunter to look at his bride, he would get the biggest grin! And what was absolutely adorable, was Aubrey’s reaction that would oscillate between a beautiful, bright grin and a facial expression that I can best describe as, “I know, I’m a gorgeous princess.” Haha… But seriously, she is a princess (like a super sweet, with a quieter side of sass… princess).

Aubrey and Hunter… It is clear that you two are loved tremendously by a large group of genuine people. You both bring care and kindness into your marriage, along with two families who couldn’t be happier for each of you. Thank you so much for inviting Chris and I to celebrate your wedding day with everyone by capturing pictures and DJ-ing the night away. Great group and fun memories for sure! Cheers to MANY years!!!
