How Art ala Carte was Born.
In 1997, I had the great opportunity to participate in the Art Heritage Program at my children’s school. This Program was run by Volunteers, and a mission to bring Art to the class rooms, something that many school do not offer. When I first began I was kind of creative, but never put much thought about teaching art. I attended the first training and we were learning about a Famous Artist, and bring an Art Project to go along with that particular Artist. Then I brought it back to the class room. An instant success. The kiddos loved me, the teachers and staff loved me, and I discovered I had some hidden Art Talents waiting to come out. After the first year, I was asked if I would Co-coordinate the Art Heritage Program for the School District. I was part of this for a couple of years and we were able to reach over 4000 students District wide. As with all things in life I eventually had to step down from this post due to life's little surprises, but I have never lost the love of Art and sharing it with people.
It was at this time I began having friends come to my house and hang out and create Art, and that is when I first came up with an idea of bring Art to others, and the name of my Art business would be Art ala Carte. So now in 2018 I am offering Art Parties, similar to the oh so popular Paint Parties, and for a very affordable price per person/group.
