Here are some informational things I've posted in the event page for tomorrow's desert dance party, ReGeneration, in the Book Cliffs in Grand junction:
Everyone bring lots of water! It is the desert. And we will be dancing. And talking. Talking is very dehydrating. ππ¦
There will be a limited amount of drinking water provided on site so be self reliant to help ensure everyone is taken care of π
Yes you can bring kids. It's going to be fun for the whole family. There will be lots of little ones out there. Just keep a close eye on them and make sure they're not just running through the dancefloor like maniacs, as that can be very distracting for the people just trying to dance. Don't want anyone to get hurt. And thank you for partying responsibly π and being respectful of everyone around you, old and young. β€οΈ
Oh and obviously don't let them run off into the desert unattended. That would be bad.
Tell them there are skin walkers and lions out there if you have to.
About the vehicle clearance. 4 wheel drive is not necessary. Anything with clearance like a Subaru outback or greater is necessary. Cars will not make it. Carpool if you need to.
And it's just the last bit that gets crazy. The driveway to the property. The rest of the way there leading up to it is smooth. So you can park somewhere towards the end and hop in with someone with a better vehicle for the last part.
People are welcome to arrive as early as 6 if they want to hang out and enjoy the place and can get their wristbands. Or as early as 5 if they want to hike around. Music is at 7, with Koko Love Starting off the night. Then I'll be on at 8, Kairotic at 9, and iLLPickle at 10:30 to finish out the night π
We look forward to seeing everybody and partying down! πΊποΈβ¨
