The Dolieslagers! I’m so grateful to have Chase and Katie in my corner. They love, support, and fight for their people. They point us to truth and spur us on to love and good works. Knowing them is truly a gift. Seeing their family grow has also been a gift. First it was Gunner, then Holland, and now another baby on the way! I am in awe of how they give their lives away to ministry, and care so well for so many. The way their lives breathe ministry and the aroma of Christ in all ways reminds me of this verse:

“So, being affectionately desirous of you, we were ready to share with you not only the gospel of God but also our own selves, because you had become very dear to us.”
‭‭1 Thessalonians‬ ‭2‬:‭8‬

Yep I’m finally doing it: time to see who’s on the other side of the camera! It’s only fair for me to experience the discomfort of having a camera lens pointed at my face, right?

My name is Abby. I’m from Harrisonburg, VA and I’m a senior at JMU studying Media, Arts, and Design. I have had this photography/videography business since I was a sophomore in high school. I always used to make videos with my friends when we were little, but I got more and more interested as time went on and decided to take it to the next level. In 8th grade I got my first DSLR camera and immediately learned everything I could from UofY (University of YouTube). I quickly got the hang of it and realized I loved capturing things that were happening around me naturally, and was not a fan of orchestrating a story. I turned into a professional observer. This led me to film weddings, where I truly got to use my professional observational skills while capturing two peoples’ real love story. I often tell clients that one of my goals while filming their wedding is to be invisible, so much so that they don’t even remember that I was there. This is what I believe can create the most genuine, real, and authentic cinematic experience for a couple. It’s also such a gift to witness different love stories over and over that directly reflect the love of Christ and church. Wedding ceremonies are a sweet reminder of how Christ loves me every-time I hear them.
