Here’s how it works when coming out for a Upick…

🌸 When you pull into the driveway you will
see a sign for parking.

🌸 Follow the trail that leads you back to the field. It starts by our roadside stand.

🌸 Once you enter the gate to the field, grab a cup of water and snips from the table.

🌸 Enjoy browsing through all the flowers, taking pictures, and cutting your favorites to make your bouquet.

🌸 Once you’ve picked your flowers, you will want to strip the leaves off to be sure none of them are sitting in the water. There are tables to
stand at and buckets to leave your scraps.

🌸 When finished you will find a Venmo QR code
and a cash box if choosing to pay with cash or
redeem a Upick pass. $30/cup & $10/kid cup.

🌸 We may or may not get a chance to see you,
depending if we are around. If we are out there
we will be sure to greet you!

A couple things to keep in mind:

🌼 We do not have a public restroom.

🌼 There are many pollinators in the field right now. If you are allergic to bee stings, be sure to have your necessary just in case!!

🌼 Might be a good idea to bring a water bottle and bug spray.

🌼 No pets are allowed on the property. Our free range chickens and ducks may not appreciate that, and our white lab may get jealous. 😉

The mosquitos have been so awful this summer, taking away the fun of just wanting to spend time leisurely in the flowers.

Evenings include putting on layers (even in the heat) and cutting as fast as I can! Then taking the haul inside to make the arrangements. This means when I realize I need a few more fillers, it’s making a mad dash all the way back out just to get a hundred more mosquito bites! 🙃

Tomorrow is back to reality…I go back to start my 26th year teaching in West Fargo. I will miss my morning in the flowers with my coffee, but am excited to see my students. 🥰

This many buckets of flowers went with us to the market and only came back with leftovers consolidated into 5 buckets. 😊
