You won’t find preset menus at JIT — and that’s entirely intentional.

No two celebrations are the same, and we believe your menu should feel just as personal as the people being honored.

Rosemary loved picnic fare, Girl Scout Do-Si-Dos (with grape jelly), & Rice Krispy treats — not exactly the typical catering menu staples. But when celebrating her life, those details mattered. They were part of her story, and making sure they were included was just as important as anything else we served.

Because the most meaningful gatherings aren’t built from packages. They’re built from people.

Fresh flavors start in the garden 🌿

Flat parsley, sage, tarragon, hot peppers, oregano, dill, mint, curly parsley, cilantro, rosemary, English thyme, French thyme, basil, and purple basil.

Our new herb garden is officially growing, and we can’t wait to use these fresh herbs in our cooking, cocktails, and events all season long. Fresh picked really does make all the difference. ✨

May 4, 2018 was my last day in banking. The following day I would celebrate the first official Just In Thyme Catering event, a Cinco de Mayo dinner party for friends. (The picture below is one of the dishes from that evening)

As I meandered through my busy day today, I reflected a lot on what the past 8 years have meant to me. I am beyond grateful to my amazing wife for believing in me and my vision for Just In Thyme. She and my daughters have sacrificed a lot over the past 8 years and I could not be more thankful for their love and support.

When I chose, Savor the Moment as a tag line for the company, I could not have possibly known how powerful that simple phrase would become. Over the past 8 years, the amazing team at Just In Thyme has had the privilege of celebrating life's most amazing events with you. From baby showers to celebrations of life and all of life's parties in between, you have invited us into your homes and into your lives to help create those celebrations. Each and every day we get to help you Savor the Moment! You chose US to be part of those moments and for that we are so thankful and blessed.

The past 8 years have certainly had their share of challenges (you know, a global pandemic, supply shortages, food shortages, escalating prices on products and fuel, etc, etc.) But overwhelmingly the past 8 years have been full of joy and love! As a young boy I dreamed of being a chef. The past 8 years you have helped me exceed those dreams and together with my amazing team we are creating one of the best catering and event companies in Pittsburgh. From the bottom of my heart, Thank you! Thank you to my family, my team and you my Just In Thyme Family for all the love and support you share with us! Let's continue to Savor the Moment and I can't wait to see what the future hold for all of us!
