Music On The Divide is a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing fine music of many different genres to the Georgetown Divide.

After a wonderful Sunday afternoon concert for Music On The Divide's membership, Thomas Pandolfi stayed in Georgetown to present a Monday morning concert. Members of Music On The Divide, who generously donated to the James and Ilse White Memorial Student Concert fund, helped to make this possible as well as additional funds from a grant that MOTD received from the El Dorado Arts Council. We were so happy to be able to present this opportunity to the school children of the Divide. Thanks to Liz Dowell for the write-up below.

In a few short weeks, on Sunday, May 18th at 3 pm, Music On The Divide welcomes the celebrated American pianist Thomas Pandolfi back to the IOOF Hall in Georgetown. Pandolfi's first appearance in Georgetown was 7 years ago, and he made a lasting impression. He is an exciting virtuoso who is becoming more sought-after by worldwide audiences. An outstanding cross-over artist, Pandolfi can switch from Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninoff, and Chopin to Andrew Lloyd Webber, Leonard Bernstein, and Marvin Hamlisch. He will be giving two concerts, one for MOTD's regular concert season on Sunday, the 18th, and another performance on Monday, May 19th for school children from Georgetown School and Northside School - the Monday school concert funded, in part, by our members' generous donations to the James and Ilse White Student Concert Fund. Tickets to Sunday's concert are available on eventbrite.org, and, as space allows, will be on sale at the door (cash or check only), $25 for adults, $5 for students, children 5 and under are free. Doors open at 2 pm for Music On The Divide members and online ticket holders, and at 2:30 for others. Complimentary refreshments will be available at intermission (donations gladly accepted). On Sunday, April 27 at 3 pm, Music On The Divide will once again welcome local young musicians to the IOOF stage in Georgetown. MOTD has been inviting young people from the Georgetown Divide to perform for over 30 years in our quest to offer the students of our community the opportunity to perform before a live audience. The youngsters who have been chosen (after submitting an audition video to a panel of judges) will have a few weeks to rehearse and master their selections before performing. As always, this concert is free to anyone who would like to attend and offer encouragement to these fine young musicians. Please join us to offer your support.
