Music On The Divide launches their 2026 concert season with Mamajowali on February 1st at 3 pm at the IOOF Hall in Georgetown. Mamajowali is a musical trio featuring Joe Craven, a multi- instrumentalist who has performed with artists like Jerry Garcia; Mamadou Sidibe, who is a Malian Master Kamale Ngoni player; and Walter Strauss, who is a fingerstyle guitarist inspired by a variety of global instrumentalists, fusing West African, American roots, and Latin American music. The group combines traditional instruments like the Malian kamale ngoni (hunter's harp) with guitar, percussion, fiddle, and mandolin to create a unique sound called Afromericana. Their music is known for being both traditional and innovative, high-energy and improvisational.
