I really hate that they are so cute 😳
Could these be big enough to kill my grow outs?? We are setting traps like crazy but it’s gonna be a long process. Whatever it is got a small hen and another grow out last night 😭

I have had a lot of people reaching out if I’m getting out of silkies or not, but for right now the plan is just reducing and using any money from selling birds to possibly make an all chicken wired coop/run area after a huge recent loss.

It’s been a rough couple months and I think I’m just overwhelmed and silkie depressed. I lost my favorite chocolate NN rooster I bought not long ago and had shipped. Then something got in my silkie building and at least 25 older grow outs 2mths old and older are just gone. Disappeared. Big hole in the wall with not a bird or feather in sight besides a few feathers near the hole in the wall

I was already feeling down a little with 1) spending nearly $400 on eggs and hatching two chicks. 2) tearing my silkie barn apart and adding chicken wire and aluminum border after a rat problem. And still something got in!! But, these were just a financial loss. The loss of the birds has been a very emotional one. I had some favorites in that grow out pen.

I know this is all part of it but it’s been one thing after another and I’m exhausted and frankly just a little sad.

Right now the plan is to keep my self blue/lavender and paint pens and try to rebuild a different set up and just work from my own birds.

🤎 🤎 CHOCOLATE SILKIE PEN AVAILABLE🤎 🤎

FCFS - no holds without payment and would need to be picked up asap unless other arrangements are made.

This is my entire chocolate / mauve pen that will include:
Chocolate rooster and mauve splash rooster. 7 chocolate hens, one chocolate paint frizzle hen, one chocolate satin showgirl pullet and another suspected chocolate paint pullet. All 1.5 yrs old or younger.

I’m selling the entire pen at a pretty good discount and I don’t have time to get a lot of pictures at the moment, maybe later in summer if they are still available. The next few weeks are fairly busy with me picking up extra 12 hrs shifts on the weekends.

They are not in condition and have been in breeding pens. Pictures when I first started the pen are located in my albums. They all have 5 toes and no straight combs.

Would need to be local pick up or buyer to arrange transport.

We have lots of straight run chicks! Lavender and the one mottled chick are NFS. Lots of chocolate and buff! A few blue/black/ and fun pen. Shipping is available to go out Monday/Tuesday or local pick up!
