Town of Angier disparages Good Signs Yard Card Rentals on its town social media pages. No other business has been treated this way by the Town Of Angier.
In case you did not know this, I started Good Signs with the hopes of quitting my full-time day job and getting back into writing. I was able to quit my day job for about seven months. I was off to a moderately successful beginning with Good Signs and writing, when I decided to go back to my full-time employer (hence my semi-retired status from Good Signs).
The fact is, I don't see myself doing the physically demanding work of yard card installations until I'm ready for retirement (four years from now).
Most of my writing was focused on positive and inspirational pieces and were published in a Harnett County newspaper, The Daily Record. There was this one political story though... 🙄
I believe the action described in the letter I sent to the town is political retaliation for writing a story that portrayed Bob Jusnes, Angier Mayor unfavorably back in January 2025.

This is a link to the letter I wrote to the Town of Angier on September 10, 2025. To date, no one from the Town of Angier has responded to this request. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1WWeIqTOUbzamogORlrL7TeWwOwUOj0rF/view?usp=drive_link Last night, I went to the Angier Board of Commissioners meeting to once again ask for meaningful engagement from the town. If you are interested in what I said, my comments start at the 18 min, 13 sec mark on this video.
It shouldn't be this difficult to resolve a serious, proven grievance with the Town of Angier. I have been asking for a meeting since January 2025. Despite the deny and delay tactics from the town attorney, I finally got a meeting on September 3. I met with the town attorney, town manager, and town human resources director. (Side Note: I'm still scratching my head about how easy it was to get the key piece of evidence I needed read out loud to me at that meeting.) This letter is a follow up to that meeting.
