⏰One of my very first weddings popped up in my memories this weekend, and I couldn’t help but reflect on what a blessing this journey has been!

📞What started with a simple phone call from a student grew into Something Organized—and after that first wedding, I landed on a preferred vendor list, and S | O was officially born!

🥇Fast forward to today: our 2025 and 2026 calendars are fully booked, with multiple bookings on our 2027 calendar 🫶. We’ve coordinated weddings in four states, partnered with vendors as far away as Hawaii, and grown by leaps and bounds. Now with Cora officially on the team, we can continue welcoming 2025 and 2026 brides into the S | O family. 💍 (It never hurts to check your date with us!)

So what sets S | O apart from other planners/planning firms?

💙 Unmatched timeline development with a bachelors degree focused in communication/event planning to back this meticulous paperwork
🩵 Unmatched vendor communication so you can relax and trust everyone will showup and do their part to make your day perfect (I’ve yet to work with a vendor that hasn’t raved about our meticulous organization and first class communication, some even offer incentives and discounts if you are an S | O bride bc they know the wedding will be so organized)
💙 A vast complimentary decor inventory exclusive to our brides
🩵Transparent pricing—no hidden fees, no upcharges
💙 A “whatever it takes” commitment to making your day the best it can be
🩵Unmatched venue layout development which ensures every detail is planned from table/linen counts to floral placement to decor transfer

Our brides, grooms, and their families truly become family to us. That’s the heart of Something Organized. 💙

💍 Recently engaged?
💍 Soon-to-be engaged?

BIG NEWS from Something Organized

Since its conception, Something Organized has grown by leaps and bounds—and it’s all thanks to YOU, our amazing clients and supporters! We’re currently averaging three weddings a month, turning down inquiries left and right, and with all of this growth, I knew I needed the BEST help!

So here comes the BIG NEWS I’ve been teasing...

Please join me in officially announcing the promotion of Cora Yielding to the role of Event Coordinator at Something Organized!

Cora has been my right hand as a day-of assistant, and now she’ll be stepping into a larger role—helping manage timelines, supporting planning operations, and even leading events solo. She works directly with me to uphold the high standards and thoughtful ex*****on that define our events.

She’s calm under pressure, confident on-site, and has saved the day more than once—like the time(s) she remembered the wedding rings just minutes before we sent the best man down the aisle. 💍

Cora also brings a new extension of services to Something Organized as the lead planner of Engagements and Engagement Celebrations. She has experience in this area and we think this is a great way for Cora's talents to shine. She is detail-oriented, organized, and highly creative. Also, having a 24-year-old around helps Something Organized keep an ear to the ground on the latest trends.

If you (or your soon-to-be fiancé) are in the market for a little extra help planning the perfect engagement or engagement party, please reach out to Something Organized and let Cora help make the magic happen!

We are beyond lucky to have her on board in this new capacity.

So excited to welcome these five couples to the S|O Family! Most of them have been on my calendar for a minute…just catching up! I posted individual posts on my personal page (accidentally 🩵) so I’ll do a joint post here! Excited to get photos of each of these sweet couples soon! What a joy it is to be a part of this journey with them!

Vendor Appreciation Post 💗🍰

I had the sweetest errand today—literally! I met up with the incredibly talented Lisa McCain of Flour House Bakery to return a few items from the Johnson wedding, and she greeted me with a dozen assorted cupcakes (wedding cake, lemon, blueberry, chocolate, and my personal favorite—peanut butter!). 😍

Lisa is not only gifted in her craft, but also thoughtful, kind, and a dream to communicate with. Her cakes are every bit as delicious as they are beautiful. Just look at the crest on Arden’s cake—it matched the custom crest Arden designed perfectly! That kind of detail and care is what makes Lisa such a joy to work with.

Thank you, Lisa, for being such a bright spot in the wedding world! 💕🧁

This wedding weekend was nothing short of sweet, intentional, and overflowing with joy—a true reflection of the love it was celebrating. The day was absolutely picture perfect, thanks to a dream team of vendors who brought their very best to every moment.

Dodson Farms offered the most stunning and peaceful backdrop, and Cale Upton, along with his assistant Ashlyn, flawlessly managed every venue detail with calm professionalism. As always, Something Organized led the charge with thoughtful planning and coordination, but it’s vendors like Cale—and a team of all-stars like Tanner Smith, her husband Macon, and her brother—who help us do our job with joy and ease.

The entire day was captured beautifully by Tanner Morgan Photography, whose eye for detail and emotion brought each moment to life—and she even surprised us with an early preview gallery on Sunday! I’ve shared a few sneak peeks below, but we’ll let our bride share more of the magic herself. We were also lucky to have Buddy Carter as the weekend’s videographer, capturing every heartfelt moment on film.

Jodi May Designs created florals that were both breathtaking and deeply personal—plus, she spent the entire day in Starkville, going well beyond the call of duty. Dinner from Zachary’s was as delicious as it was beautifully plated, and guests enjoyed an extra treat from Coffee Depot, adding a cozy and thoughtful touch to the evening. Laken Criswell made sure the bride and her girls looked radiant, while Style Entertainment kept the dance floor alive and the celebration going strong.

The ceremony was made even more meaningful by Bill Murphy, who officiated with warmth and grace, and by the live music of Cate Babb, Phillip Murphy, and Emme, whose talents filled the space with heartfelt melodies. (Fun fact: Phillip and Cate learned and performed a special song by ear just days before the ceremony!)

From the elegant rentals by Prestige Rentals to the gorgeous wedding and groom’s cakes by Lisa House McCain of Flour House Bakery and Catering, every single detail came together in perfect harmony.

A special thanks to the amazing parents and bridal party—your support, presence, and love were felt all weekend long. It was incredibly moving to witness such a God-filled weekend unfold before our eyes. These two are so very lucky to be surrounded by such strong, loving support systems—from their parents, siblings, and closest friends, to their church families who have poured into them from the very beginning. It was a beautiful reminder of what it looks like when a community rallies around a couple beginning their forever.

It was a weekend filled with love, intention, and beauty—an unforgettable celebration for a couple whose love story is just beginning. What an honor it was to be part of it all.
