How long does it take? // I prefer to have your envelopes 1-2 weeks prior to your send date! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Do you offer different styles of writing? // Yes, but this comes with a caveat! [Yes] I can modify my writing to accommodate more traditional or modern styles, but [no] I will not copy another calligrapher’s work! Feel free to send inspo photos though! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I am someone who loves to host, so 2020 really messed with me. We moved into our home a year ago and then the pandemic hit the next month. As with everything in 2020, all these plans to host and have our people over were put on hold. So I’m praying that 2021 is the year to redeem that excitement! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

1 // my husband and I have been together 14 years this coming April and will celebrate 10 years married in June. We got married at 22 and now, at the ripe old age of 32, I realize what BABIES we were then. 👶🏻
2 // unique names are a thing for me, hence my children’s names: Willow, Poppy, + Fox. I loved being the only person in school with my name whereas my husband (Ben) shared his name with 3 others in a senior class of only 42. 🤣

4 // my sister .watkins is my closest and dearest friend. We have that weird thing where we sometimes feel each other’s feelings and regularly start to text each other at the EXACT SAME TIME.

We’re slowly moving our way towards wedding season and I CANNOT WAIT. I know we’re all cautiously wondering whether 2021 will be a repeat of last year (please God, NO) but I am hopeful that we will get to have more celebrations than we did in the-year-that-must-not-be-named. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
While I am able to book custom signs closer to event dates, my rentals are definitely something you’ll want to book as far in advance as you can. Because once they are gone, THEY GONE. I am planning to add to my rental stock this year so keep an eye out, but I am highlighting my rentals in my stories today so you can see what I currently have available! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

This last weekend we celebrated FOUR birthdays in my family. My middle babe, Poppy, turned TWO on the 7th, my sister and father-in-law share a birthday on the 15th, and my dad’s birthday was yesterday! Whew, it’s one loaded birthday month. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We had just our small families over separately because C*VID (read like a cuss word) and despite the small gatherings, it was such a nice time. We keep getting these tiny glimmers of “normal” life and I truly hope we’ll be able to have big birthdays next year and no one will ever have to have a drive-by birthday party again. Unless you’re introverted and that’s your dream party, then be my guest. See what I did there? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

See that little tattoo there? It’s a willow branch with roses mixed in for my first baby, Willow Rose. I’ll be getting a poppy for my middle babe, Poppy Ann, and a fox for my baby boy, Fox James, later this year. I’m a huge fan of and have had all 3 of my tattoos done there. One of my calligraphy business dreams is getting to design a tattoo for a client. I’ve been hoping for someone to reach out for the last 3+ years but realized that if I never speak that dream aloud it’s likely no one will read my mind. At the beginning of the month when we took down our Christmas decor, my oldest daughter Willow cried. And I don’t blame her. I miss Christmas too and our house always feels bizarrely empty when all the decorations are gone. Like, did our house always feel this colorless and empty? Dramatic. I know. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
