Unfortunately I have to make this post for the first time. We Brian Friese and I, Samantha De Miere (The Inflatables mentioned in the ad) will not be doing this event.
We were on 4 hours of sleep when we both got off work yesterday (we work 50-70 hours both and run our business with pride). We drove over 11 hours round trip to Bethany mo straight from work in STL overnight for this guy Thomas to not answer once we were close, not show, never left instructions or basic idea where to set up on the grounds, never reached out until we called today and he tried to lie and say we never set up a time. When i called that out and reminded "he said just call when im an hour out and he would be there even that late [i warned him between 9 and 11pm because of work and how far we had to drive after we got off].", after admitting he rememebered that conversation he said he was just tired and needed to go to bed at 8 without telling us, calling or texting us and left us outside the gates which had a lock on the chain and a wonderful Officer Quigley tried to help us out for a bit and called people before admitting there was nothing or any one we could get ahold of unfortunately unless we wanted to sit in our vehicle overnight and wait for "Thomas" to answer if he did.
We would lose our fulltime jobs doing so. We have 5 kids under 18, 3 adopted so we work hard and we take pride in giving back and being people of our word. We rely on our paychecks to give them their best lives and in our family business we take so much pride in.
So then thomas texted and he tried to say the gate was open why didn't we just set up anywhere on a state fair park ground at midnight with no one there giving grounds for trespassing or someone to remove our equipment unaware who or why we are there. And again clearly a lock was visible we don't break and enter around here.
We promised we would be there to support this small town and do their first annual fair, i put my word and name on it even if i was alone on the job I would be there. I pride myself in being a woman of my word and my co owner and partner is a retired fire chief full of integrity and his word, we take our business ventures very seriously. We came, we invested a lot of money exhausted and with our kids who had school, drove overnight for nothing but to be told he was tired and didnt want to tell us when we were less than 2 hours away. We spent hundreds of dollars in preparatory work and gas. We got there and had to drive 5+ back home with nothing but a lesson learned. This man does not do good business and will not be there after making arrangements and promising you he would be. No message, no instructions, no attempt to warn us he may fall asleep and what to do. Just made us drive exhausted and then go to work/school even more exhausted. Do not do business with these people. And be leary of being an outside business and trying to invest in this event. This is why we are not there after advertising it, the main guy did not show, and has no pride in the business he does. We are real people, with a real family business and this one hurt us.
One of our next public events we are going to!!!! We can't wait to for this trip and to see everyone there!!!!!🤘
