A little throwback to this time last year. 🍂

Five hours on the road, following California’s scenic Highway 395 to June Lake, surrounded by endless shades of golden yellow.

Forrest and Trista, our couple, both adventurous and outgoing, wanted to bring their favorite people together to celebrate not only their wedding, but also the beauty of fall in the Eastern Sierra.

And what a beautiful time of year it was. 🍁

We created dried florals inspired by the season, with golden yellows, soft and airy palette, and natural textures that complemented the couple’s love for camping and felt right at home among the autumn scenery.

Looking back at these little moments through my camera, I’m reminded of one of the things I love most about designing for weddings.

Every couple has their own story, and sometimes, that story takes me somewhere I’ve never been before. New places, beautiful landscapes, and the privilege of being part of something meaningful to them.

That’s something I’ll always be grateful for. 🤎

From a bare frame to a layered composition, this piece was built slowly through texture, movement, and depth.

Every wedding tells a different story.

For Lindy & Jonathan, it wasn’t just about creating a moody woodland wedding. It was about creating a world that felt unmistakably theirs.

Medieval-inspired details. Gothic candle holders (yes, they’re 3D printed!). Towering redwoods. Rich textures. A palette that reflected the world they wanted to create.

Every detail was chosen to tell the same story.

My role wasn’t to define their vision, but to translate it into florals that naturally became part of that story.

The result wasn’t simply a floral design. It was a celebration that felt unmistakably them. 💜

Dried floral design for hospitality spaces

For the opening of Strāta, a chef-driven California restaurant in Downtown San Jose, the floral concept was inspired by the meaning behind its name — layers.

That idea became the foundation for a dried floral installation series expressed through layered texture, sculptural movement, and atmospheric depth.

Designed to guide the guest experience from arrival to dining, each floral moment became part of the restaurant’s overall spatial story.
