Sweet little Callie Rae 💕💕

This was just a beautiful moment to get to be a part of. I’ve photographed so many milestones for this family - from their wedding to all the newborn sessions, to the family photos in between. And to be able to do this session, in the hospital, was just a dream for me. They cried. I cried. We all cried. It was SO special to witness! What a beautiful addition to their family!!

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday weekend! I appreciated the patience from clients in allowing me to have the long weekend off to be with family but it’s time to get back to sharing some previews!!

This family is such a joy every time I see them! You wouldn’t believe that there was about 30+mph winds and super cold temps during these photos! We tucked back in the trees and these guys braved the cold, and handled it like champs! I am so grateful to them!

Are you going Black Friday shopping!? What stores are you hitting up?

Every year, since I was a kid, we would go shopping. We never left terribly early like some. Maybe 9am. We’d hit a few stores and usually buy nothing, then make our way to the food court in the mall, to meet our extended family. All the great aunts, and cousins would get together for lunch!

Black Friday really wasn’t about shopping for us! We usually left empty handed. It was about getting together with family! We enjoyed people watching in the big crowds. Trying to find our family in the mob of people. Someone getting there early to save seats. Parking lots full. People in Christmas sweaters and holiday cheer. I loved the hustle and bustle of the stores! And I miss those days.

Online shopping doesn’t leave room for connection. For families gathering around a table, in the mall food court, to show the cool presents they found.

Sure, maybe some dont like the crowds but man, I miss it!

So I’ll still go shopping today! And maybe I’ll get a good parking spot with less crowds, and probably not find a deal 🤣 what about you? Are you going??

Thank you to everyone that has shared, or liked a post of ours. Thank you to everyone that has booked a session, this year or past years. We are thankful for all of it! You are helping me live out a dream! Being able to photograph families, meet new people, and keep a flexible schedule to still be a stay-at-home mom for my babies. That is my dream, and you all make it happen for me! And I am grateful.
