✨ Now Accepting Applications: Summer Artisan Residency ✨

As Hanover Place prepares to open our in-shop café, we’re opening a limited number of spots for our upcoming Summer Artisan Residency.

This curated 6-week feature is designed to highlight a small selection of makers whose work aligns with the evolving feel of our space.

With only 2–3 residency placements available, this season will be especially intentional as we continue to refine the in-shop experience.

We are back at one of our favorite spots this weekend, the Grassroots Sundays Artisan Fair by FredVends in Hurkamp Park in Fredericksburg. This time the event will be giving all the holiday market vibes. Local creators will be there with unique, local gifts for everyone on your shopping list. Come hungry and enjoy lunch from one of the delicious food vendors. And of course, we hope you will stop by The Book Market FXBG to find a gift for the book lovers in your life (or maybe even yourself). We will be stocked up on crewnecks, candles, jewelry, ornaments, and the latest new releases. We can’t wait to see you there!

🎄It’s the most wonderful time of the yeaaaaarrrrr! 🎁

We are so excited to celebrate our first holiday season with you. Bring on the holiday markets! We are busy stocking up on all kinds of great gifts for the book lovers in your lives (and maybe a few things for yourself too).

📚We are kicking off the season at STRANGEWAYS BREWING FREDERICKSBURG for their holiday market on December 6th. Come kick-start your holiday shopping with local creators and handmade gifts, all with winter wonderland vibes!

📚We will then be downtown on December 14th for our favorite artisan fair, Grassroots Sundays Artisan Fair put on by FredVends. Come shop with local artisans in quaint downtown Fredericksburg. Grassroots Sundays are all about encouraging locals to shop small, and this is a great way to find unique and LOCAL gifts.

📚We are delighted to travel back to our favorite restaurant Grounds Bistro to support another Silent Book Club on Wednesday, December 17th! We had such a great time last time we came that we couldn’t wait to head back. Bring a book or purchase one from us and join in reading inside in the cozy bistro with a warm drink and a snack or meal.

📚Finally, we will be popping up at Long Family Farmers Market for their holiday market to help satisfy all your last minute shopping needs on December 21st. Last minute shopping doesn’t have to mean that you have less choices or can’t support local. Come on by to shop small with a variety of local vendors, including US!

We have a busy week ahead! There are so many different opportunities to find us out and about this week, no matter what your schedule looks like.

📚This Wednesday we will be heading back to one of our favorite neighborhoods, Embrey Mill, to pop up at the Grounds Bistro for Silent Book Club. Bring whatever you are reading (or purchase something new from us) and enjoy the perfect atmosphere to cozy up and read together. We will be open from 6-9 PM, but Silent Book Club will be taking place from 7-9 PM so come any time!

📚On Saturday we are joining Cobblestone Square in downtown Fredericksburg to treat their residents to their own personal bookstore for the day. Come join us to find your next great read OR start your holiday shopping early. This event is open to the public as well.

📚Finally, on Sunday we will be back at the Grassroots Artisan Fair put on by FredVends to support local artisans. As you begin your holiday shopping, consider supporting your local artisans. The best gifts are unique and handmade and we just happen to live in a town that is full of creators. We are proud to offer book-related items that are handmade right here locally as well. We will see you there!

Our November schedule is now live! There is SO much to look forward to this month. We are excited to be popping up at some new locations and some of our favorite places as well. Also, be on the look-out. There may be an addition or two later in the month.

📚We are so excited to join the incredible community at Rodney Thompson Middle School to celebrate their fall festival and see what makes RTMS such a great school. You don’t have to be a student at RTMS in order to join the community at this event. All are welcome!

📚We will then be joining the Grounds Bistro in welcoming Silent Book Club to their space. If you are unfamiliar with Silent Book Club, it is a relaxed, low-pressure version of a traditional book club. There is no assigned reading! Just show up with the book you are currently reading (or purchase something new from us) and join in reading together. You can get a delicious drink or some of the bistro’s amazing fries to munch on while you read.

📚Next up we will be popping up at Cobblestone Square in Fredericksburg to treat their residents to the mobile bookstore experience. This event is also open to the public so feel free to come down and check out what is new.

📚You can find us the next day at the Grassroots Sunday Artisan Fair in Hurkamp Park to help support our incredible local artisans. FredVends always does an incredible job supporting local creators and encouraging shoppers to support small.

📚Finally, it has just been TOO long since we stopped by to visit our friends at Laudenbach Brewing. They were the first business to say yes to us, and we honestly feel like we struck the jackpot with their fantastic brewery. We will be back to help you jump-start your holiday shopping and grab a cold beer. It’s the perfect place to catch up with a friend or entertain your out-of-town relatives.
