Hey folks, Tracy the owner here. My heart is just overflowing with gratitude tonight, and I want to share. I made a choice over a year ago when I bought this business to be open 7 days a week, to have a consistent schedule, to not make people "guess" if we are open or not, and believe me, people told me that I was nuts. Those first few months, we did NO BUSINESS at all on Sundays or Holidays. So, we cleaned coolers, and made new displays, and lost money on payroll. But here we are, a year later. Two produce stands. Franklin curb market. Twenty-four items for a wedding on Saturday, 12 pieces for a funeral on Sunday, numerous orders for a funeral on Saturday at an out-of-town funeral, where the funeral home said, "Call Pollen Nation in Franklin, they are the only ones open on holidays and weekends." And today, Sunday...a lot of foot traffic, extra help needed at the cash register, and not one but two phone calls asking for an arrangement and delivery for today on a Sunday, that we made happen. Huge shout out to the staff who work weekends, our customers, those of you who have shared our social media...because, yes, we are busy now on days that we were told to be closed on. Babies are born every day, funerals happen every day, people go into and get released from the hospital every day. If you understand how our calendar works.... your birthday or anniversary is going to get celebrated on a different day of the week every year. So, we at Pollen Nation are open 7 days a week to take your call, make your arrangement, and deliver it...on your special day. Thank you so much for making us so busy this weekend!
