I got my first real introduction to wine by attending a wine tasting event for about 15 years ago. The wines were presented by I was so excited to try the wines and write my impressions of them. Last night they hosted an event called Meet the Winemaker. Nick Goldschmidt was there and I sampled 9 of his wines. He was so charismatic and his wines were so delicious! These are the wines I purchased. The Meritage blend is for me and the 2 Sauvignon Blancs are for my Dad for Father’s Day! I also want to see if my Dad can tell the difference between a New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc and a California Sauvignon Blanc. Has he been paying attention in my classes? What a fun girls’ weekend! Que and I stopped at Marygrace’s house on our way to AC. Their house is so nice next to the water. We drank delicious wines and went out on the 🚤. Then it was on to Marriott’s Fairway Villas just outside Atlantic City. I won a little 💵 at The Hard Rock and The Ocean. Being a cheap gambler, I 💰 it right out! 🤣. I’m looking forward to our next trip! Always fun!!

Sunday was beautiful in New Jersey! I wanted to go back to because I really like their wines! I got a glass of their Pinot Noir then a glass of their Blaufränkisch. I enjoyed them both with sliders and polenta fries from When I was told there were only 3 bottles of Gewürztraminer left, I had to get a bottle! I love Thai and Indian food which pair perfectly with Gewürtztraminer! I also ❤️ Lambrusco and the Chambourcin grape so how could I resist buying a bottle of their Chambrusco? It pairs perfectly with pizza and charcuterie. I will post my review! If you are in NJ, you need to visit Beneduce Winery! So pretty, great wines and live music each weekend.

I visited my son Mike in NYC on Saturday. A little windy but a nice day to go to a street fair on 1st Avenue. Mike had just said he hoped we could find some Japanese fruit candy and we did! I also remembered that the restaurant was in this area so we had lunch! The Chenin Blanc was delicious with my omelette and pomme frites! 🇫🇷 Being here reminds me that I always say I want to get a tattoo of a fleur-de-lis but I think I am too afraid of the pain! 😳🤔

My Dad comes up each month for my wine class. ❤️ This month, I wrapped up our Tour of Italy and my Dad really enjoyed the Castello Monaci Pilùna Primitivo. This wine goes great with pork and baked beans as well as smoky BBQ.

My Dad recently lost his wife and has been doing a lot more cooking lately. He told me he thought his pork chops and baked beans turned out great last week, so with rain forecasted for the weekend, I asked him to make this dish for us because we had the perfect wine!! And it’s only $15!!

His dinner was delicious 😋 and the wine paired perfectly - black cherry, pepper, vanilla, licorice and smoke.

Try a Primitivo from Italy 🇮🇹! It’s the same grape as Zinfandel from California but a little smokier! Break out the smoker and some ribs or brisket and give this wine a try!

This Rosé is so good!! Most people drink Rosés from Provence but they need to be expand their horizons! 🤣😆. So many great Rosés to try for Summer and all year long! Spain makes great wines!! And for not a lot of 💵! Strawberry 🍓, citrus 🍋‍🟩, rhubarb 🥧! Yummy!!! 😋

Last night was amazing! This was my 6th time seeing Lenny Kravitz and this heavy metal chick loves him! We stayed but the concert was at For dinner we did the Prix Fixe I ❤️ this restaurant! The concert was great! I always forget what a great voice he has and how great his entire band is! Until next time Lenny!! 🎸🤘🏻❤️

I have overlooked this sparkling wine at my store but no longer! Such a tasty wine for $14! Have some friends over for appetizers, for Thanksgiving or for just hanging out by the pool! Your friends will ❤️ it!!

I started Mother’s Day with 2 great guitar players - Greg Koch and Paul Gilbert from Mr. Big Saturday night. They were great! Today I went with Mike to for brunch. This place is so good! Great food and wine and service!! Then Mike, who is an awesome cook, made me dinner - - a healthy version of lasagna with meat sauce. It was perfect with the Rosso di Montalcino! Mike knows I ❤️ carrot cake so he brought home a slice for me from Delicious!! What a perfect day!!

I am loving this wine!! So smooth!! So fruity!! Insanely good at this price point! You need this wine for your next pasta night!
