Save the date!!! The Mariner’s Bethel Trail Run by Seashore Striders is back for 2025! The course runs through Assawomen Wildlife Refuge at Camp Barns with gorgeous views along the trail! 10k, 5k, Kids Run and Walk! All are welcome and the race includes the best post race meal after! This LDW has us excited for this year Mariner's Bethel Trail Run!!!! This year the race will be held on Oct. 20th at 1:00 at Assawomen Wildlife Refuge! Follow the link to Seashore Striders Running http://www.seashorestriders.com/race-schedule to pre-register for the 5k, 7 miler or kiddie fun run and 1 mile walk! (Or you can just buy a meal ticket for the famous post race lunch and just hang out with us!) It is an amazing community event and all are welcome!

The Trail Run wouldn't be THE Trail Run without our amazing spread of delicious food!! From the loaded tamales, the array of decadent soups, the good ole fashion hot dog AND the infamous caesar salad, it is just the icing on the cake to such an incredible day! A huge thank you to everyone who volunteered their time in the kitchen days before and the day of the Trail Run to make sure everyone left with full bellies!!

Special shoutout to Michelle Klinedinst & Tony Christopher for spearheading the kitchen crew!

Well everyone, we did it!!!! We raised $20,000 for the new Mariners Bethel United Methodist Church Hope Center's Enrichment of Hope Program! This program is an after-school program for at-risk children within a 12 mile radius! The program is for students ages 12-18 who attend Selbyville Middle School, Southern Delaware School of the Arts or Indian River High School. This new Hope Center building enables Mariner's to reach out to the community to provide a place for children and youth to go to after school to receive help with homework, build character and self-confidence and establish relationship with caring adults and other students. How amazing is that!!!! Thank you so much to all the volunteers, participants and sponsors who helped make this years Trail Run the best year yet. We can't wait to see how this money will be used to bring Hope to the next generation. We are so blessed and could not thank you all more!
