CATTLE DRIVE PAUSED; RETURNING FRIDAY 11/28

The Fort Worth Herd’s twice-daily cattle drive will pause starting Thursday, November 20 and is scheduled to resume on Friday, November 28.
Following the recommendation of the Texas Animal Health Commission, this pause is out of an abundance of caution following reports of Equine Herpesvirus (EHV-1) cases that could affect the health of horses.
EHV-1 does not pose a health risk to humans or our longhorn steers. At this time, we have no cases of this virus reported within the Herd. This pause allows our veterinary partners to complete monitoring protocols and ensure the continued wellbeing of our animals.

⛸ 90-minute sessions daily, rain or shine, with a full bar, fire pits, and festive treats like Whataburger Tuesdays.

Cowboy Santa makes his grand arrival to the Stockyards on November 28, ridin’ in by stagecoach just after the 11:30am Cattle Drive—with a holiday parade, photos, story time with Mrs. Claus and plenty more cheer to follow.

✨ Don’t miss the Tree Lighting Ceremony at 6pm and our holiday light spectacular, lighting up the Stockyards all season long.
