A year later and I’m even more certain: who you surround yourself with matters.
I just listened to an interview with Dr. Froswa' Booker-Drew regarding women in leadership and this quote resonated: “You need a board of directors of people who speak life into you. That’s a game changer”.
For me, that board isn’t always made up of people in my field. Some of the most powerful encouragement comes from women who cheer me on, even if they don’t fully understand my day-to-day work (like being The Tooth Fairy😂). They bring perspective, strength, and inspiration simply by believing in me.
As women, we need that—our own team of supporters who remind us who we are, lift us higher, and celebrate our wins.
You’ll see a few of my board members here, but many more aren’t pictured—and all hold a special place in my heart.
Because life hits different when women cheer each other on.
