Gearing up for Mother’s Day over here.. but we have to take a moment for the first flower in the garden to officially bloom! This season I’m going to do my very best at sharing what’s coming out of the garden each week. My secrets, my experiments and things I learn along the way. By the end of this season I’ll have you growing your own flowers too 🙃 I’m by no means a professional grower, but we all start somewhere! After many successful seasons of gardening and easing my way into growing cut flowers, I would love for others to learn and share the same happiness growing brings to me!

So to start this simple gal is called Calendula a few of my fav facts 🌼
• They open at sunrise and close at sunset
• This flower has medicinal properties & is edible
• Pollinators & beneficial insects LOVE calendula
• They are also known as a trap crop
