We were contacted by the National Maverick and Comet owners group. They are meeting this weekend in and around Fort Wayne. After Cars & Coffee, take a ride down Dupont and check out their gathering.

For our 30th Annual Roundup Nationals, the MCCI make a return trip back to the Hoosier state after last hosting 19 years ago. This time the host city is Ft. Wayne, Indiana. So great to have “Pops’” car with us today. It was my pleasure to talk with the original and current owner, Tim, who filled me in on the entire history of the car. If you don’t know the story, search “Pops” on some of the Fort Wayne history pages.

We had a great morning up until we had a totally avoidable incident in the parking lot between a kid and a grandpa acting worse than a kid.

A couple reminders:

If you don’t have insurance on your vehicle, don’t bring it to Cars & Coffee. That’s just plain stupid. Please don’t come back.

If you’re a grandpa in a big assed truck, act your age and don’t hot rod in a shopping center. Please don’t come back.

All, don’t drive fast in the parking lot. There are kids and parents walking. If you cause an injury, that would be tragic and it’s on you. If we get kicked out of this spot, it’s on you. Run your car somewhere else. Please don’t come back.
